"Hey, you doing ok?" Charlotte asked once she closed the door behind her and joined me on the bed. I shrugged my shoulders but smiled slightly at her.

"You know we won't let them take you away right?" She asked. I nodded but still not fully convinced.

"Noah won't let them" she said, more so to herself then me, as she shook her head.

We sat in silence for a while, not saying anything as we were lost in our own thoughts.

"You know, you're my first real girl friend" Charlotte said randomly.

I snapped my gaze to her and frowned.

"I'm serious. I was seen as a weirdo in my last pack and anyone who talked to me were girls using me to get to my brother. When I came here it was sort of the same. People would talk to me out of respect because I was the Beta's mate but stayed away from me for some reason" she explained with a sad frown on her lips.

I frowned and wrapped a comforting arm around her shoulders. She leaned her head on my shoulder and sighed.

"But it's ok. I have you now so I don't need anyone else" she giggled which made me smile.

I was becoming a lot more comfortable around the three of them. Especially Noah. These past few days we've been more physical then before.

And no not that way. I mean we would always touch one another some way like holding hands, his arm around my waist or I'd sit in his lap which only happened a few times but I didn't mind it.

I trust them and I feel like they're the family I didn't have for the majority of my life.

I felt loved here.

I felt like I belonged here.

I felt at home.

"Mate" Tala informed me.

I rolled my eyes and set my book on the coffee table in front of me and leave the peaceful library in search of Noah.

The first place I went to look for him was the kitchen.

And sure enough, I found him sitting by the counter eating apple pie. I had to hold in my laughter as I watched him shovel down most of the pie in less then 3 minutes.

As I noticed he was almost done, I folded my arms across my chest and leaned against the doorway then cleared my throat to get his attention.

His head snapped in my direction almost instantly.

"When did you get there?" He asked with his mouth full so it sounded like nonsense at first.

They'll think I'm weak and not fit for the Luna position and will treat me the same my old pack did!

"Hey, I know that look on your face. Don't think too much into it and don't worry, you'll be a great Luna Rosiane" Noah said as he cupped my face and brought me back from my thoughts.

I shook my head from side to side.

"Yes, you'll be a great Luna" he smiled softly and nodded his head while he spoke.

I frowned, still not believing him. I mean, how could I?

My whole life I was told I was nothing and worthless. I couldn't do anything right and everything that went wrong was my fault. I was the reason my mother died!

"So the second thing is, your birthday which is also this weekend" he said, looking me in the eye.

I looked at him wide eyed, wondering how he even knew when my birthday was.

"Tala told Jackson who told me" he explained like he was reading my mind.

It's not like I was keeping my birthday a secret, it just slipped my mind, I guess.

"So as I was saying. Your birthday is also this weekend so I was thinking that as well as having the Luna ceremony that we would have a birthday party for you as well afterwards?" He said with a slightly hesitant tone.
