I smiled when it placed their head on my lap and I began gently stroking its head.

The fawn's breathing evened and the mother looked down at her young. I gently placed the young deers head on the ground and slid back a bit away from them. The mother leaned down and rested her head above her child's.

I stayed in the clearing for a few hours, practicing my powers with only the two deer as company.

I wanted to practice my healing powers but in order to do that, I needed something or someone who was wounded.

I didn't want to hurt someone just so I can practice my powers. An idea popped into my head and I smiled.

I could go to the pack infirmary and practice my powers. That way I won't have to hurt anyone, instead I'll help them.

I gently stroked the two deer which caused the mother to wake. I smiled at her and stood up. With one final pat on their heads, I made my way towards the pack infirmary.

I passed the training grounds and saw pack members relaxing while eating food. I spotted Hazel and Charlie and waved in greeting.

"Where are you off to?" Hazel asked with a smile.

"The pack infirmary" I shrugged.

"Oh, well then. I guess we'll see you later" Charlie stated with a puzzled expression but smiled nonetheless.

I nodded and turned away, continuing my journey to the infirmary. I smiled as I passed a few nurses.

"Doctor Blake" I called and he stopped in his path and turned to face me.

"Ah Luna. How are you?" He grinned.

"I'm good thank you. I'm actually here to ask you something" I told him with a smile.

"And what's that?" He asked.

"As you may not know, I possess certain powers. I discovered one of those is healing and I was wondering if you'd allow me to practice on some of your patients?" I asked with a hopeful smile.

"As long as no further harm comes to them I don't see a problem with it Luna" he nodded.

I thanked him and he then led me to the ICU.

I frowned as I saw some pack members lying unconscious on the hospital beds attached to different machines.

"This is Brian. He was involved in a rogue attack about a month before you arrived and has been in a coma ever since. That's his mate and their 7 year old son" Doctor Blake informed me then pointed to a women and young boy who sat at the side of the mans bed.

He shook his head with an understanding smile. I walked towards him and placed both my hands on his forearm.

I extended my claws and winced as they tore through his skin. He whimpered in pain but covered it with a cough. I released my grip on his arm and retracted claws.

Repeating what I did with the deer, I placed my hands over his forearm and focused on healing his wounds.

After feeling the familiar burning in my hands, they cooled down and I opened my eyes.

Sallie and Doctor Blake looked at his, now, healed arm with amazement and shock.

"Sorry about that Doctor Blake" I frowned.

"No worries Luna" he shrugged with a smile.

I smiled at him then turned to face Sallie who held her sleeping son against her chest. I watched as her eyes flickered between me and her sleeping mate.

After a few minutes she hesitantly nodded her head. I smiled reassuringly to her and moved to stand beside her mate.

I looked at her once more and saw she was scared and worried.
