She saw how Chase's eyes widened as he gazed at her standing at the door frame.

"Mommy!" He screamed in happiness and next her sweet boy jumped off the bed and made a dash towards her.

Chloe dropped down to her knees and engulfed her boy in a tight hug. His small arms wrapped around her neck tightly as if he was afraid that she might disappear.

Tears of happiness flowed out of her eyes as she inhaled her baby's scent. Finally it was peace. Finally half of her heart started to beat again.

"Let's get inside the room, Chase." She softly said, breaking the hug as the boy nodded his head in affirmation. Getting inside she closed the door and patted the side of the bed where Chase immediately climbed and sat down.

"Mommy I missed you so much." Chase mumbled while climbing on her lap as he took her face in his tiny hands and kissed her cheeks.

A broken chuckle escaped her lips as she kissed his forehead and hugged him closer.

"I missed you too Chase. Mommy missed you so much." She said softly while caressing his hair in a loving manner.

She was finally able to breathe a little.

"Mommy when I woke up in this strange place, I was so scared. I looked for you but you were nowhere. Please don't leave me again." The little boy said with glassy eyes making her heart constrict painfully inside her chest.

"I will not go anywhere." She said softly at the same time the door was knocked and before she could allow the person to come in. Susie came inside with a tray of food. "You need to feed this to Chase. It's his dinner time." Susie said calmly but her eyes were a little wide in shock when she found Chase sitting on her lap happily.

Chloe nodded her head and Susie decided to leave them for now and would ask her the questions later about how she was able to make Chase comfortable around her so quickly.

"Let's get some food in your tummy." She said with a smile and made him sit on the bed as she fed him lovingly.

Once done with the food. Chloe and Chase played with his new toys as he showed her all his new toys and then he said something that took her breath away.

"Mommy, you know the uncle who brought me here is my daddy." Chase said with shiny brown eyes making her gulp.

"He told me he is my daddy. When he comes I will introduce you to him. He will be very happy. He loves me a lot. Yesterday he promised that he will bring you and today you are here. Daddy is my hero, mommy you will love him..." Chase kept on rambling and she was tongue tied. She didn't know what to say or what to think.

There were so many thoughts running inside her head that it started to hurt.

She sat there quietly listening to her child talking about his father so fondly.

She wanted to throw the food away but her body needed it. She hasn't eaten anything for days and it was taking a toll on her. While she was with Chase she didn't feel how weak she was but now she was feeling the tiredness and anxiety all over again.

She drank half of the soup and ate one bread with much difficulty. Once she was done she thanked the maid and faced Susie. "Can you please give me some aspirin. My head hurts." Chloe said softly while rubbing her temple.

"Yes, sit down please." Susie said as she went Lord knows where to get the tablets. She saw how the two maids immediately cleaned the kitchen and retired for the day.

Chloe sat there alone for sometime before Susie came in and handed her the tablet.

Once Chloe took them she thanked Susie and was about to walk back to Chase's room when Susie stopped her.

"You can't go back to his room. You've to sleep in your room." Susie said politely, making Chloe frown.

"But..."

"Boss's strict orders. You are allowed in Chase's room from breakfast till lunch then you've to leave him alone and you can go back at dinner time and stay until he falls asleep." Susie explained his ridiculous order.
