"I'm leaving." He said, fixing the collar of his leather jacket.

"Okay." I shrugged, pretending not to care.

"Hey," He raised his eyebrows "you're not mad at me, are you?" He was already standing at the doorway.

I shook my head.

"Cool, I'm picking you up at Eight." He said casually.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"I'm taking you somewhere." He took my phone out of his pocket. He must've taken it off my desk. "I've put my number in here, you better pick up when I call you." He gave me the phone back.

"What…I mean where are we going?" I was too frustrated to refuse his offer. Well, I guess it sounded more like and order, then an offer.

"It's a surprise." He grinned teasingly. "See you later, lil' kitty." He left before I could put all of this together.

What was he thinking? Is it a date? No, it can't be a date, he doesn't do that stuff. He was seriously messing up my life. I checked my phone for his phone number. He wrote his name in my contact list like this: Lucas <3.

My phone buzzed at 8:05pm.

Lucas<3: Where are you?

Me: Just a sec.

Lucas<3: No. Come out now.

Me: I'm coming, just wait a bit.

Lucas<3: We're already late, so get your ass out here!

Me: Late for what?

Lucas<3: Would you just…don't make me come for you lil' kitty. I'm serious.

Me: Okay, okay geez…

Lucas<3: If I don't see you walking through that front door in the next 10 seconds, I'm driving off.

"Nevermind." I snorted.

Back to current time:

"Bye!" I yelled, grabbing the door handle.

"Wait!" My mom was nervously chewing on a lock of her long brown hair.

"Mom, I'm kinda in a hurry!" I tapped my foot anxiously.

"Just," She was tugging on her hair. "be safe."

"Okay! Bye!" I yelled again and ran through the door.

When I came outside a sudden gush of cold air exploded in my face. It was only November but the old lady winter was starting to show her ice-cold claws. I pulled the collar of my jacket closer to my mouth to alleviate the freezing breeze. I would go back for my scarf, but Lucas seemed impatient just standing next to his bike. Last time the cold breeze felt good on my face while we were driving, but this time…My cheek bones are going to start hurting. And then they will crack. And fall off.

I rubbed my cheeks just thinking of that.

Lucas looked so handsome, leaning on his black bike. He was wearing some sort of ripped jeans, matching, of course - his black leather jacket. "We. Are. Late." He emphasized every single word.
