"So...It's something to enjoy, not something to be embarrassed about?"
"Yes. You've successfully repeated what I just said." He laughed.
I leaned over him and kissed him on the cheek. He softly stared at me, slowly moving his hand towards my neck, pulling me closer towards his lips into a deep and moist kiss.
"I'm turning you into a bad girl. Skipping school, talking about sex..." He furrowed his eyebrows, amused.
"Sometimes you've got to be a little bit bad...for life to be good." I smiled and pressed another kiss onto his lips.
He pulled out his phone, turning on some music.
It wasn't like the music people normally listen these days, well at least not most of the teenagers, it wasn't rock, nor pop, or rap...it was something...something completely different. The sound was smooth like jazz, but the rhythm was fun like funk, and there was something else...like a secret ingredient. It was summer and rain at the same time, like snow in July and sun in December. It was the last piece of cold pizza and the first bite of juicy strawberry...It was orange and yellow and blue and green at the same time. It was a sound and scent and a taste. It was like a music you'd want to bite in.
"What is this?" I asked as the singer's velvet-like voice sent chills up my spine.
"I don't know, some band I recently found." Lucas casually shrugged and looked at the phone, shutting one of his eyes close, because of the sun, who was obviously jealous of music that shined brighter than him. "Devil's Advocate." He answered and leaned over me, showering my neck with kisses worthy of Aphrodite herself.
You know that feeling you get when everything is perfect, when everything is just right...yup, that feeling that everything is - too perfect. I was happy, I was in love with someone, someone was in-love with me...something was bound to go wrong.
"Crap!" Lucas suddenly hit his forehead.
"What?"
"I forgot the film for my camera."
"At your place?" Of course at his place, where else...
"Yeah..." He sighed. "I better go get it."
"Fine, let's go." I jumped and grabbed his hand. This weird gesture seemed to lighten up his face.
Lucas gently pulled my hand towards him, wrapping me in his embrace. "Okay, love."
"What?"
"What what?"
"Oh...well." She smiled and lowered her look.
I could finally see her. The little wrinkles at the corner of her eyes. Her thin lips coloured in orange shade. Huge boobs. Really huge boobs. Is that what men are into? Huge boobs? Oh god, what am I talking about, it's not like she's his love interest...and yet, I was jealous like hell.
"Maybe..." She spoke but I grabbed Lucas's hand and gave her the nastiest look I could manage. After-all, I saw Cookie do it.
"Oh, I see." She smiled, ashamed. "Well then, I'll be..."
"Lorena!" A strong male voice suddenly yelled.
"John!" Her eyes became twice their size as she leaned on the wall, looking pale as a ghost.
I never understood the phrase where people say everything happened so fast, but this moment screamed for that phrase like no other.
"I didn't..." She struggled to explain.
"I knew it!" The man yelled at her and I closed my eyes. I really hate when people are screaming at each other. I can't even watch the movie scenes with yelling. "You whore!" He gasped for air. "Cheating on me?! What am I talking about," He laughed with the most horrifying laugh manageable. "of course you're cheating on me! You think I didn't notice the way you stare at yourself in the mirror before you go out?! The way you put on your most expensive Dior lipstick?! The way you giggle in the bathroom, the way your eyes shine every time you come home..." His voice cracked down, it was so desperate...It seemed like the man was about to cry.
