Third person's point of view...
The next morning was a bit calm. It was though one of the difficult mornings for Kiara she anyway welcomed it with a smile. Last night she hallucinated talking to Girard after having bumped into him in that hotel's corridor.
In fact, the meet with Billy before that has harmed her emotions too much that she cannot bring herself to face him. She just destroyed their lives. Even though she was not completely the one to be accused of the Carter family's damage she was still responsible ruining it. At least that was what she thought to herself.
However, the talk with Payton last night gave her a hope. A hope of getting things back to its track. She did do wrong in her anger but it was not yet too late. There was still an opportunity to mend things back. And Kiara, she was determined to do that.
Her eyes dizzily blinked meeting Payton on the dining table. "Good morning." Forcing a smile, she took a seat next to him silently.
The morning was not as it used to be before. It was rather a sad one. Too many thoughts had engulfed the both of them. While the servant served breakfast in their dishes they sat zoned out. It was indeed a matter to be depressed. They fucking saw how poorly baby Billy cried seeing Kiara.
She must not have considered him her son, but he did take her as his mother. A mother was much more than a biological mother of his. But what she did! She deceived his emotions. She played with his life for her advantage which was really not a good thing to do.
The maid was gone, Payton picked up a fork in order to begin his breakfast nevertheless when his eyes met with Kiara's face, he stopped. "Hey what's up? Are you not well." She was crying silently. Her face was red and her fingers slowly trembled in her lap.
She seemed way too disturbed that Payton had to leave his spot and pull her into his arms. "Hey, don't worry Kiara... We know it's not truly your fault." He stroked her hair while his voice became heavy too.
Indeed, she was not to be at fault but him. It was his plan that due executed. If he had never updated Kiara regarding Raven's selfish meet that she had never known that he was going to marry her for a reason. And then, eventually after meeting Billy she would have obviously forgotten and forgive all of his mistake and had accepted a happy life.
But no, just because he wanted to own her he played a trick. Payton used his brain and destroyed their lives. More than her, it was him who was responsible for poor Billy's condition. If only he had seen him before her leave ever then she would have never happened.
Unfortunately, it was not the time to regret it on what has happened. It was the time to think and act as to how everything could be mended!
"I feel pathetic, Payton. I wonder how would he be? His son seemed so devastated without me then Raven, his condition would have been worser than him. I want to know about him, Payton. I want to know about him." Kiara cried her heart out.
So this time it was not Billy that made her cry but his father. Raven blindly trusted her. So blindly that when she called him the very first time after leaving them... He still begged for her return. His broken voice and that fumbling while he had spoken to her with played in her head.
Payton sighed. He himself had no idea what could be Raven's condition for now. From what he was told the last time when he was seen, it was not at all pleasing. "Don't you worry Kiara, we will do something. You want to know about him... I will get his info for you but please, I request you, don't cry. You need to stay strong. If you want to rebuild your house you need to stay strong as from now on you are going to encounter many undesirable circumstances." It could not stop her tears. Payton though tried his best way to console her she anyway cried.
'Rave was right. She escaped with Payton. I don't know how will he react after getting this update.'
Girard thought going to the parking area where his driver was already waiting for him.
He stuffed the bag in the back seat while he himself settled in the front seat beside the driver. "Do you know where is Rave?" He asked the driver. The driver nodded as he pulled the car on the busy road with other vehicles.
"Yes, sir. He is at the office since three days." Girard sighed on the driver's update.
He looked out of the window shaking his head negatively. "This guy!" His expressions clearly said he was irritated.
Why won't he be though?
After that filthy woman's leave, he totally changed. She killed his human totally. He was a living corpse in true sense. No expressions, no emotions, no time for anyone nor himself and no rest. He occupied himself with work too much that he forgot he was also a human.
