Once they seemed ready they started to make their way over to us. Every step I took was making me more and more anxious; I needed an excuse to leave. Just then, like luck was on my side, I smelt the scent of two rouges just entering out territory. I let out a loud growl, making my old pack stop in their tracks. Thankfully they couldn't see me but they knew the noise came from one of us.

"Penny, there's two rouges just south of here that have entered our territory; I only need to take one of the triplets with me". I shot out quickly.

"Alright, take Jake with you and be careful."

"Will do Pen." I smiled, "Come on Jake duty calls." I shifted into my wolf in mid-air with Jake by my side, I nipped at his shoulder telling him to go. He didn't need to be told twice. We sprinted off into the forest leaving dust in our place. It didn't take us long to find the two rouges, one was a fairly large wolf obviously male he was a dark brown colour and the wolf that accompanied him was a smaller wolf, female, and a lighter brown. Jake and I growled at them alerting them to our presence. The male placed himself in front of the female and growled. I growled back louder which instantly made him stop. I nudged Jake and signalled to a large tree nearby. He seemed to get the message as he trotted behind it and came back in human form.

"Shift." He said in a demanding tone. The male also went behind a tree to shift leaving the female in her wolf form. When he came back he went back to his position in front of the female, clearly it was his mate. "What are you doing on Midnight Jet Pack land?"

"We're terribly sorry we didn't know we were on pack land," the male apologized. "Our pack was attacked by rouges and we're the only survivors, we are looking for another home."

Jake looked at me and I nodded my head. I pointed my nose into the air and howled, letting Penny know that we were bringing some more guests.

"What is he doing?" The male ask. I stopped howling and gave him a wolf frown, Jake burst out laughing.

"Firstly, he is a she and she was telling out alpha that we are bringing you to the pack house," Jake answered. The male blushed when he found out I was a female. I didn't blame him really I was huge for a female, in fact I was bigger than a male.

"My name is Edward and this is my wife Lizzy," he said reaching his hand out to Jake.

As predicted as soon as we came out of the forest snarls were heard but they weren't from my pack but in fact it was my old pack.

Who do they think they are acting as if they actually have a say, I asked Jake.

They're not very smart people, He replied and I laughed. I nudged both Edward and Lizzy so they positioned between Jake and I, still leading the way to Penny. A member of my old pack decided to attack Ed and Liz. I quickly shifted so I was in front of them and took the full impact. I fell onto my back but in a split second I had the guy pinned to the ground. He tried to snap at my neck but I growled menacingly at him and he stopped moving beneath me with wide eyes. I huffed in his face before getting off of him and trotting back over to Jake, Ed and Liz. From the look of their faces they were grateful for me protecting them, they also seemed quite shocked. They need to get used to it after all they'll be family soon.

Once we reached Penny I left Ed and Liz in her capable hands and headed into the house to get some clothes. Wouldn't want to be naked in front of everybody now would I? I was now dressed similarly to what I was wearing before but instead of a red yank top, I wore a cream jumper.

I was now back in the back garden standing next to Penny watching the two separate packs, everyone seemed to be getting along nicely however; you could see the tension between everyone. The little children seemed okay, they were all running around and laughing. I continued to survey everyone whilst Penny spoke with Ed and Liz, who were now in human form and full clothed. On my observation I caught two sets of eyes staring at me. I tried to not look at them but my curiosity got the better of me. When my eyes locked with theirs I instantly regretted it. The eyes belonged to my parents. We stared at each other for a few more minutes, my stare held no emotion. I shouldn't have held their gaze for too long. I should've known that they'd be able to tell it was me, even with all the changes that I had been through. A mother never forgets her baby, even if my mother put me through hell. Their eyes began to glisten with tears and right then I knew they recognized that it was me, their daughter Jessica Brown.
