"Seriously Jake! Was that really necessary?" I asked.
"Yes, yes it was," he smirked. "Hurry up and get ready our guests will be arriving soon." He sneered out the word guests.
"Argh, don't remind me." I groaned. Jake stayed with me as I got ready. I rummaged through my closet until I found my dark blue jeans, black tank top and a pair of white all stars. Once I was dressed I brushed through my hair and coated my eyes with mascara and a bit of eye liner to make my eyes stand out more.
"So... What do you think?" I asked Jake once I was finished.
"You look beautiful as always Jay," he said with a smile.
I blushed, "thank you."
The roaring of vehicles and the sound of tires crunching up stones could be heard in the distance. "Well I guess its show time." I muttered.
"Come on, let's go." Jake said ushering me out of my room. I followed Jake out of my room and down the stairs with a scowl on my face. When I stepped from the last step the rest of my pack mates looked at me warily, I smiled, this seemed to make them more relaxed.
Wow... Penny wasn't kidding when she said there wasn't very many of them left. I spoke to my wolf.
That must have been quite a fight. She replied. I couldn't help but agree. I've never witnessed anything quite like this, these rouges certainly mean business or there must be a really powerful creature out there somewhere. I shook my head getting them thoughts out of my mind, I've got more important things to think about at the moment like getting through meeting my old pack again.
I wonder if they even remember me, or recognize me for that matter. The pack members starting to get out of their cars. Well I guess I'm about to find out.
The pack was now all out of their cars and they lingered in the drive clearly waiting for something or someone. I was immediately on high alert searching for any kind of threat but when I heard more car doors opening I relaxed. They were waiting for their alpha. I glanced in their direction and saw my old alphas Stephan and Emily Bane step out of one car along with my parents. I moved so I was now behind Jake, hoping his scent would hide mine. More car doors were heard and that was when Cameron graced us with his presence, looks wise he didn't look any different but he now screamed power, which is understandable as he is now the alpha. He walked around to the passenger side of his car and opened the door. Like in the movie everything seemed to move in slow motion as tanned legs stepped out revealing my ex best friend Lilly Brooks. Now there was a reason why I never mentioned her before because she started bullying me even before we all found out that I couldn't shift. I don't even know why she turned on me but I didn't question her, why should I try to save a friendship that she was willingly ruining? I just let her get on with it and then after I was supposed to shift she turned into the devil himself. After that I blocked her out of my life and to top it off her family moved to England for her father's job that was the last I heard of her. But I guess now she's back and already she's with Cameron, my mate.
