"I would say it's nice to meet you, but then I'd be lying." I sneered.
Seb laughed. "You amuse me Jay. It's a shame that we met under these circumstances, I'm sure we would've been great friends." I don't know if he was being serious or if he was being sarcastic.
"Not likely."
"It's a shame you think like that Jay." He almost sounded disappointed, sad even. "But I'm sure if we weren't friends we would've been great allies."
"What do you mean by that?"
"If you haven't figured it out already, my pack of rouges are stronger than your average rouges, am I right?" I couldn't argue with him on that. When I was fighting them in the clearing I could tell they weren't your average rouges. They were smarter, they were tactical and they were not wolf like. When rouges are banished or even choose to leave their packs the wolf inside of the human slowly starts to take over the body to become the animal they really are. Wolves are pack animals; they like to be with others of their kind. Take that away and you get an out of control animal and the rouges in the clearing were not like that. Even if these rouges are called a pack they are not really a pack as there are is no leadership, no ranks amongst them which a wolf needs. All wolves need an Alpha to lead them. So why doesn't that apply to these rouges?
I nodded my head. "I've been thinking about that."
"How is that possible?" Cameron voiced my own question.
"I'm glad you asked that question but I can't answer that right now."
"Can't or won't?" I snapped growling. I was growing irritated by his vague answers and this game he seemed to be playing.
"They are the same thing, no?"
"What answers can you give us?" Cameron asked.
"I admit I can't reveal much to you now otherwise I will be breaking the plan, however, I can tell you why and how Cameron can help you enhance your powers Jay."
"Why would you tell us that?" I was excited and I'm sure they could hear it in my voice. If Seb told us how I can enhance my powers we could use that against him to get out of here!
"I think I might have found something."
"It's better than nothing."
"Okay, well as you can see I've looked through a number of books. All of these books," she gestured to the books over the table, "don't have much on it and very little detail. However, this book here has more information."
"What does it say?" I asked eagerly.
"From what I've read so far it says that werewolves like Jay only come around when great danger or a war is about to break out and this book says that it hasn't happened very often. Not including Jay there were only seven others, now that Jay's here there are eight. The surprising thing is that over half of them only came around when we hit the twenty-first century."
"So basically when people started looking to solve everything with violence?"
"Yeah, that sounds about right. In some of the other books they have all said that each of the 'Primes' had different powers, fire, water, earth, air, lightning basically everything to do with natural elements. Looking at this fire was the first element to be used which means that the elements have completed a full cycle and that is how Jay is able to control fire."
