Summary for Chapter 49: Destined To Be Greatness

Summary of Chapter 49 – A pivotal chapter in Destined To Be Greatness by Liz Kent

The chapter Chapter 49 is one of the most intense moments in Destined To Be Greatness, written by Liz Kent. With signature elements of the Internet genre, this part of the story reveals deep conflicts, shocking revelations, and decisive character changes. A must-read for anyone following the narrative.

We watched all of my favourite movies like Avengers Assemble (Jeremey Renner and Robert Downey Jr are so hot), Hot Fuzz, The Hunger Games and my all-time favourite Disney movie Frozen. I know what you're probably thinking, isn't she too old to watch Disney movies? No, no I'm not; you can never be too old for Disney movies. Frozen is the only Disney movie that shows young girls that they don't need a man in their life to save them and I think they need to make more movies like that. Although, I have nothing against the girls that want to meet their own prince charming.

The end credits of the movie started rolling playing the featured song Let It Go sang by Demi Lovato when I noticed that I hadn't seen either Cameron or Penny all day. It was unusual for them to go this long without bugging me about something. How odd.

The triplets and I were jumping from one sofa to the next singing along to the song, well more like screaming.

"Here I stand, let it go, let it go. Oooo, Let it go!" We screamed the last bit of the song collapsing on the floor laughing.

"Wow, please don't try to pursue a career in the music industry."

We jumped up from the floor and faced Penny who was stood in the doorway with her arms crossed and a grin on her face.

I put a hand over my heart faking pain. "That's hurtful Penny, you've cut me deep."

She laughed. "Stop messing around Jay, Cameron is waiting for you!"

"How did you know about the date?"

"He asked me for some help because he wanted to make sure you enjoyed yourself." She grabbed my arm dragging me upstairs and into my bedroom. I couldn't believe that he asked for help! Cameron asked for help! He just keeps making me fall even more in love with him.

Cameron's P.O.V

I can't believe I actually did it. I finally asked Jay out on a date and not just any date our first date together. I'm feeling over the moon right now but I have no idea what to do or where to take her, I kind of know what she likes but I don't know what she would want to do as our first date. Maybe I should have dropped subtle hints before I asked her. It's a bit too late now.

I continued to pace in my bedroom scratching my head trying to come up with some ideas that Jay would enjoy but all I could think of was going out for a meal, the carnival that was here for the week or perhaps going to a movie. I shook my head scolding myself; I need to be more original. Think; think of what Jay would like to do.

"Calm down there Romeo or you're going wear away the floor."

I jumped out of my skin and stumbled almost falling flat on my face. I steadied myself then turned around to see Penny giving me a warm smile.

"What's eating at you?"

"I ask Jay out on a date an-" Penny squealed. "And I don't know what I'm going to do!" I let out a defeated sigh and slumped down on the bed running my fingers through my hair in frustration. I felt the bed dip besides me.

Penny linked her arm through mine and dragged me out of my room, down the stairs and into the garage where she grabbed her keys to her range rover. We climbed into the car and sped out of the garage. I was confused where could we be going? I thought we were just going to talk ideas with each other and go from there.

"Penny, where are we going?"

"We're going to Jay's special place." She smiled to herself.

"Jay's special place?" I questioned. Penny nodded. "Where is it?"

"You'll find out soon and you're going to love it."

Penny and I sat in silence with the radio humming softly in the background as I watched the scenery race past the window. The trees surrounding us disappeared when I realised we were in town. Penny drove us straight through and we were once again surrounded by trees. I was growing more confused by the minute. Where could we be going?

I got my answer fifteen minutes later when we pulled up outside a small little café called Rock Pool Hideout.

"Is this Jay's special place?" I asked. It was a fairly small building with windows for walls, the panels were painted white and blue, sea life stickers lined the windows, the sign above the door was in block letter in a rocky grey colour and there was a large starfish next to the sign.
