Eventually, I found one so I grabbed my favourite worn out white converse and sat down on the floor to put them on, hurriedly.

I got my bag and threw my keys, phone and my books in and checked the time on my wall clock. 8

19AM - perfect!

I once again ran down the stairs and called out to mum that I was leaving.

After accidentally slamming the door I yelled back again cursing to no one but myself.

"Sorry! Bye!"

I didn't think that she would've heard me but oh well. I walked to our driveway, squinting slightly because of the sun. Getting in my car, I started the engine and drove off.

Palm Cove High, here I come as a senior! Then my subconscious reminded me of my best friends. Right... I have to pick them up first... Of course.

Well then,

Sophie and Ella, here I come!

Honk

Seriously? I looked over the time, 8:30AM. I have fifteen minutes to drive to Sophie and Ella's and to school. Thank God they lived next to each other, making it easier for me to pick them up.

I swear one of them needed to get their license though. But that seemed nearly impossible since Sophie already failed like three times because she felt too lazy to revise and remember the rules. On the other hand, Ella has failed quite a lot more than Sophie. She was just too competitive. There once was a time where she had her test and some frat guys were on the other lane... And she, I quote, "...Just wanted to show those jerks that a girl can beat them."

My thoughts were again disrupted by people honking and beeping. I looked around to see that the lane I was on was the only one that weren't moving. Because of me. Oops. Immediately, I sighed and cursed again, driving off.

After 10 more minutes of driving around in traffic I finally got to their street.

It was beautiful, just like our subdivision but our's just had more big three-storey houses.

I could see them in the distance, already talking to each other. Sophie's hand flinging up in the air.

Once I was right in front of Sophie's house I pulled over, smiling apologetically at them.

"What took you so long? It is sooo hot like you have no idea! Omg my face!" She groaned. "All your fault Kath." Sophie complained whilst climbing in the back seat.

She kept on mumbling complaints when Ella cut her off.

"Shut up Soph. This is why you don't paint your face with icing so it doesn't melt! But remind me to buy you a waterproof one for your birthday, yeah?"

"It's called make up, Ella! Maybe you should go and try to put some on instead of being jealous of me." Sophie slightly yelled.

"Kim! Kim!" Ella's voice stopped my thoughts.

Everyone and everything seemed to be disrupting my thoughts today. Hope this will end.

Oh and right, Kim is my nickname - sort of. I only let people that I'm really close to, to call me that.

Kim stands for Katherine Isabelle Morris. My nickname that most of the people uses are Kath, Kathy or Belle.

"There's a parking lot right over there!"

She pointed to the parking space near the entrance of our school. I parked and Sophie clapped her hands, praising me. "How did you do that? I can't ever do reverse parking, specially that quickly," she pouted.

I laughed at her question and simply shrugged.

We were walking up the stairs and just got up the top when Sophie stopped us.

"Omg. Guys I haven't asked you! Do I have any classes with you?" She asked, showing us her timetable or schedule as some people call it. Well, I have art, English, maths and history with her.

Ella also took hers out and showed us. Hmm let's see, Science, Maths, Art, English, Biology, Chemistry and HPE. Every subject except History. I smiled at the thought of having her in every classes... well except history.
