Evan's P. O. V.

I took her by the arm and dragged her to my car. When I saw her standing there watching me and Lily making out, I thought I saw sadness flicker in her eyes. I wanted to see if she was mad or jealous afterward but she looked like she was having a good time with Mike. Then I was the one who got jealous.

"What were you getting all buddy buddy with Mike for?" I snarled.

"He is nice," she said and looked away. "What am I supposed to do? You left me alone."

Guilt washed over me again. She was right. I did kind of ditch her. I was gonna go look for her earlier but Lily stopped me.

She was quiet for the rest of the ride home.

"Thank you for taking me out," she said and started to get out but I grabbed her arm again.

"Wait a minute. I'm not done talking to you," I said.

"What did you want to talk about?" she asked and shifted uncomfortably.

I didn't know what to say to her. My mind was spinning. I left Lily alone at the party and drove away with Annie on a whim. Why did I do that?

"I...I don't know. You can go back inside. Your mom might wake up," I said and got out of the car.

"Bye little hamster," I smiled and pulled her towards me. "Don't forget to bring me more snacks tomorrow," I chuckled. I expected her to run back inside without saying anything but she walked closer to me. Her face was red like she was flustered. Then she did something that I never would've imagined she'd do in a hundred years. She tiptoed and pressed her lips on mine. I automatically encircled my arms around her waist.

The kiss lasted only 5 seconds. She backed up immediately after it was over.

"S...sorry! I'm sorry!" she said frantically with a horrified expression on her face. She spun around and ran towards the house.

"Wait...Annie!" I called out but I couldn't be loud since it was late. She didn't stop and opened the front door then went inside. She must feel embarrassed.

It was only a small kiss on the lips. But it was enough to set my body on fire.

Annie's P. O. V.

Oh no! What did I do? I kissed Evan. Why did I do it?

Was it because I had been waiting for so long for him to be nice to me and he finally did it? I am so stupid. He must be so mad at me! I am screwed.

In the morning I dreaded going to school. How would I face him? He will probably make fun of me for kissing him like that.

"You look like you are getting fat, didn't I tell you not to stuff your face like a pig?" my mom said before I left. Oh, no...it must be because Evan had been bringing me all those food. I haven't been paying attention as I was too happy about finally eating good food.

"I haven't been stuffing my face," I said quietly.

She came closer and punched my side, making me wince in pain. "Then what's this? You aren't getting fat because of the air. I'm gonna have to cut down your diet even more," she said harshly.

"Now tell me," he stared at me intently.

"T...tell you what?" I let out a nervous chuckle.

"Why are you running? Is it because of last night?" he asked. His eyes were twinkling but they didn't look angry.

"I'm sorry about that, don't be mad at me!" I said.

Evan looked at me with surprise. "Why would I be mad at you? You did nothing wrong."

"I kissed you and...That was wrong because you don't like me like that and you must think I'm creepy and gross now for planting one on you like that. I won't do it again I promise," I ranted on.

"You are not creepy or gross, you are just stupid," he barked. "And a really bad kisser," he smirked. He leaned forward and grazed my lips with his fingers.

"I'm sorry for being a bad kisser then? What are you doing?" I asked as he leaned over and took my glasses off.

"Taking these off because they get in the way," he said. I couldn't see his face clearly. It's like my eyes are getting worse by the day.

"Get in the way of what?" I asked and reached out to try to take them back but I touched his chest. I blushed when I realized how close he was to me.

"Get in the way of this," he said and pressed his lips on mine.
