---- Wolfgang's POV ----

Max and I were currently in white mountain at the alpha summit. My main goal was to gain allies to overcome the rogues, but Remus had found out that not far from here was the village where Aurora's mom came from.

I left before Max a couple days ago and went straight there where I met one of the elders of the pack. He said that he remembered her. She was a unique wolf. Appeared there when she was only three with her guardian, a witch. They said they were running from hunters.

Her parents had died and entrusted her to this lady whose name was Eleanora. She said she was the packs witch and that they came from the western cities but were attacked and forced to leave.

When we inquired about the packs name she said it was the Silver Moon pack. It had to be impossible. That back was known to have vanished years ago, but she said they had to disappear in order to keep their kind safe.

"Their kind? What did they mean? The werewolves?" I couldn't help to ask.

"She did not specify, but I feel they weren't just talking about the were kind. I think they were talking about something far more greater than it." Was the elder's answer.

I needed to find out more.

I was on my way to the hotel room with Max on my tail from the final meeting with the alphas.

"That went smooth, didn't it?" Said Max as we turned the corner to the room.

"Hn." Indeed it did. We gain more allies for the upcoming fight against the rogues, but for a while now I've been feeling a discomforting itch on my back. Maybe it was the detergent used here at the hotel.

"Something is not right kid. I can sense it." Cronnos said in my head making me feel on edge.

"Shut it fleabag." I was irritated enough about this meeting and this fucking itch I've been feeling all evening. I didn't need his constant nagging.

As we stepped into the room I went straight to the walk-in closet and disposed of the jacket and shirt I was wearing.

"Hey Wolfie! They're about twenty missed calls and a shit load of text messages from Remus on my phone. Looks like he's at his limit as the alpha in charge." Max shouted chuckling from the living room. It was strange for Remus to call us when he is left in charge of the pack. It must be something urgent.

I grabbed a shirt and walked out to where Max stood reading the messages on his phone.

"What does he want?" I asked my beta who stood with a grim expression on his face alerting me that something was very wrong at home. "What is it?" I asked him urging him to tell me what was wrong.

"It's Rory." He answered sending chills down my spine. His gaze was still fixated on the phone screen. "She was accused of robbery and sent to the dungeons."

"What?! By who?!" I growled to my beta.

"It was your mate, Tallulah Wilhelm." Max said, anger clear in his eyes.

"Remus said he tried to defend her but couldn't do much because of the warning she already had of the incident before with the uniform." He gritted. "By you!. If you don't love that girl, why can't you just let her be? She is young and I'm sure soon she'll find her mate. When that time comes, what will you do?"

I turned and punched the wall. Why the fuck did I place that warning over her?

"Wolfgang! What... What are those marks on your back?" Max asked making me turn to face him.

"What are you talking about?" I asked as I instinctively raised my hand and scratched at the spot where it itched.

"You have red slashes all over your back." He pointed out.

"What?" I said trying to see over my shoulder but came unfruitful.

"Never mind that. It must be an allergic reaction or something. Call Bowman. Make them release Aurora Craton right away." I ordered as I put the shirt on.

"He already tried sir, but they won't let her out unless the alpha himself signs her release. We have to leave immediately! It'll take us at least five days to get back to the village." Max said stating the obvious.

"Get us checked out. I'll get our stuff to leave and I'll meet you in the lobby in fifteen minutes." I said but Max was already halfway out the door.

I took my phone and turned it on, dialing Remus number. He answered almost immediately. "Alpha!"

"Remus, tell me. What the hell happened?" I growled in my phone as I grabbed my clothes and dashed them in my suitcase.

"Wilhelm accused Aurora of robbing some silverware. I warned you about that accusation Wolfgang. You should have removed it a long time ago!" Remus scolded me, annoying the shit out of me.

"WHAT was the verdict Bowman!" I cut him off.

"..." He went silent.

"Bowman!"

"Thirty whipping to her back and locked in the cellar for a month, sir." Bowman answered rooting me to the spot.

"Fuck!!"

I threw the phone across the room into the wall and watched as it shattered in pieces.

I jammed what I could into the suitcase and shut it racing down to the lobby where I found Max at the front desk signing us out.

I shoved the luggage into the bellboys hand.

"Get these sent to Iliamna village at the 74th with 145 St, got it?" I ordered the feeble human kid.

"Umm." He looked confused.

"GOT IT?!" I shouted making the kid flinch.

"Oh. And you weren't planning on telling me you were back honey?" She asked pouting.

"I was in a hurry Tallulah." I answered getting exasperated.

"I can see that, babe." She said eyeing me from head to toe, surely questioning why was I only in pants and barefoot.

She walked up to me and placed her hand on my chest.

"And where are you off to now? Aren't you gonna change first? Relax for a bit, Hun." She purred into my ear, but it only irritated me more.

"Maybe I could help you... Relax..." She said seductively into my ear as her hand glided down my chest, but I stopped her before she could go any further.

"No. Tallulah. I need to leave now, but when I get back, you and me need to talk." I said sternly.

"Talk about what..." She was cut off by one of the elders.

"Alpha Wolfgang. I thought you were on your way to the hospital sir." Elder Aldo said.

"To the hospital? Why?" Tallulah asked.

"Get me video footage and evidence by the time I return. Got it?" Ignoring Tallulah's question.

"Yes sir." The elder bowed and went to the guards room.

I turned around and was about to open the front door again when Tallulah's insufferable voice stopped me once more.

"What's going on? Why are you going to the hospital and what's with the footage and evidence shit?" Tallulah asked totally exasperated.

I rolled my eyes before turning to face her.

"I'm on my way to see Aurora." I said almost growling.

"The hospital?! I thought she was locked up in the dungeons for robbing the leaders house." Tallulah said.

"I ordered her release until further evidence that she indeed committed the robbery is shown." I said to her.

"Further evidence? What more evidence than finding the objects she stole stashed in her room?! That girl is a thief!" Tallulah almost shouted throwing her hands I the air exasperated.

"I(!) will decide if she is a thief or not Tallulah. Remember that I may have named you my mate, but the alpha here is me!" I said and walked out the door before losing my patience any further and doing something I might regret.

Aurora needs me right now.
