---- Wolfgang's POV ----

I ran to the hospital as fast as I could and marched through the emergency spotting Remus and Aspen sitting in the lounge.

"Where is she?" I ordered more than asking.

"She's is fine alpha. They gave her something for the fever and they're treating the whip lashes on her back." Aspen answered.

"Treating them? Weren't they healed by now?" I asked. Our wolf powers should have healed those wounds from the very day it happened.

"No alpha Wolfgang. They were all intact. In fact, they were infected, that's why she had such a high fever." Remus said causing my insides to churn. How was that even possible? Why were her wounds still open after almost a week.

"Beta Barone found her semi unconscious and hallucinating." Aspen added making me even more anxious.

"I still can't feel her kid. I can't feel her wolf." Cronnos tormented my mind.

"Has the doctor said anything about the lack of healing?" I asked trying to keep a cool face but deep down I wanted to shout.

"No sir. They ran blood tests and other exams. We are currently waiting for the results. But right now, she is stable." Remus said trying to assure me. "Beta Barone Is currently in the room waiting for her to wake up."

Somehow that pissed me off. It should be me there with her. Holding her hands, waiting for her to wake up.

"Would you like to see her alpha?" Aspen asked suddenly as if she knew what was on my mind.

"Yes!" Cronnos shouted in my mind.

"No. I'll go see if they've developed the video footage. Please notify me on any changes in her state of health, Aspen." I said to the small redheaded girl earning a growl from Cronnos.

"Remus, come with me."

"Yes sir." Remus stood and kissed his mate on his forehead. "Keep me updated on everything."

"Sure thing babe." The redhead smiled back.

I couldn't help but feel envious of my gamma and his mate. Why couldn't I be like that with Aurora?"

Cause you're the biggest fucking idiot there is! That's why!" shouted my wolf in my head.

"C'mon Remus. Let's go. We've got somethings to look into about this accusation." I ordered my gamma and we stepped out of the hospital back to leaders house.

---- Aurora's POV ----

I woke up in a comfortable bed. The last thing I remember was freezing myself to death on the cold cot I laid on trying to cover my body the best I could with the piece of worn out blanket I had.

Rhea was nowhere in sight. It was as if she had vanished.

After the whipping, I spent five days locked in the dungeon. They gave me an old shirt to change into and an old blanket to cover myself with.

My wounds wouldn't heal, and my body felt weaker and weaker by the hour.

I kept coming in and out of consciousness as the days went by. My body felt extremely hot to the touch, but I was freezing like crazy.

"He does?" I asked still not believing it.

"Yeah Rory." She said as she patted my shoulder.

I looked down at my hands as I twirled the sheet in my fingers, heat burning my cheeks.

Wolfgang really did care for me. He ran all the way back here to have them let me go.

Aspen, Max and I chatted for a while longer when Max's phone rang.

"Hello? Hey Wolfie! Yeah! She's up..."Kay. I'll be on my way." He hung up.

"Sorry Rors. Aspen and I gotta get back to the house. Wolfgang needs him for his testimony and I gotta be there as a neutral witness. Are you gonna be okay on your own for a bit?" He asked.

"Yeah." I yawned still feeling weak. "I'll just take a nap." I said, already feeling my eyes getting heavy.

Aspen walked up to me and kissed me on the top of the head.

"Get some rest love." She said as she backed away to the room door.

"We'll be back soon Rors." Max said as he waved before he walked to the door as well.

I laid back down and slumber quickly took over me.
