---- Aurora's POV ----

I woke up and found Tallulah who stood at the foot of the bed I laid on.

"You're finally awake." She said.

I looked around and found myself in a clean white room. This must be the hospital. The last thing I remember was Beta Max running up to me as I fainted. Tallulah had accused me of robbing the silverware and I was punished by whipping through it. As a wolf my body should have recovered quickly from the lashing, but something has been off with me lately.

That's right. Max brought me here and left with Aspen to meet with the alpha and gamma.

"Why are you here Luna-Tallulah? I am sure it is not to make sure that I recover properly" I said. I still felt weak. Why was I healing so slowly? I could not contact my wolf Rhea either.

"I'm going to warn you one last time Aurora" she spat my name with venom in her mouth. "Leave the pack and don't bother alpha Wolfgang anymore. Isn't it clear that he loves me over you?" She said making my chest hurt. She was right and I knew it. He loved her, not me. Even though I was his rightful mate, he ignored me and proclaimed Tallulah as his Luna, threatening me of marking me as rogue if I ever told anyone I was his mate.

"I don't care about him. You can have him for all I care." I said casting my eyes aside. I couldn't bear to see this woman for another minute.

We felt commotion outside the door. something told me to be wary, so I got up from the bed and took a stance. I tried once more to contact my wolf, but I couldn't reach her.

Suddenly the door burst open, revealing a handful of threatening rogues.

Tallulah and I stood on guard.

"Here you are." The biggest one said with a sinister sneer. I could see the nurses cowering in a corner while guards and fighters from the pack laid unconscious on the ground (At least I hope they were unconscious and not dead)

"What do you want from us?!" I shouted at them. Anger flaring up within me.

"We are here to take the Luna hostage" The man said nonchalantly. "Now, come with us peacefully and no more harm shall be done" He stepped forward with his hand outstretched for Tallulah to grab. She backed away in fear.

"Wh... Why would I do that?" She asked. Fear written all over her face.

"Because you are the Luna my dear, and as such you must sacrifice yourself for the well-being of your pack" He said with that sinister smirk on his lips.

I saw Tallulah back away, trembling with fear. Where was her big talk now when we need it. But the rogue was right. The Luna must put her pack before anyone else, so I took a step forward and stood before Tallulah.

"It's not her you are after. It's me." I said trying to muster as much courage as I could.

I turned my attention back to the rogues.

"If I agree to go. You will not harm the pack, right?" I asked looking at the rogues leader straight in the eye.

"Well there is no fun in you not struggling but I will do as promise. I will not harm anyone, as long as you come with us peacefully" He said, then he turned his attention to Tallulah.

"And you will give the alpha this message: We have captured your Luna. Meet our demands and she shall return to you unharmed. Do otherwise and she'll be the first of many murders well commit." He smirked.

"Get the girl. We're leaving" He ordered one of his men who walked up to me and grabbed my arm forcefully making me whimper in pain.

I turned to Tallulah and gave her a faint smile.

"It'll all be okay." I said trying to make her feel at ease, but mostly trying to convince myself that everything would actually be alright. I tried once more to contact my inner wolf, but she was still nowhere in sight.

I walked out of the room with the rogues not knowing what waited ahead for me.

"Oh moon goddess. Give me strength'
