---- Wolfgang's POV ----

I sat here in the middle of a meeting conference about the report of rogues roaming around the pack, but my mind was on what my beta had said about Aurora.

"If you don't love that girl, why can't you just let her be? She is young and I'm sure soon she'll find her mate. When that time comes, what will you do?"

She has found her mate and it's me. But she's a commoner an omega wolf, a simple house maid sent to service the packs leader house, and I descend from a long line of leaders.

Sure we thought she would be of royalty because of that stupid book that spoke of the descendants of the moon goddess roaming around us but so far I haven't found any proof. She has no strength or quality to offer the pack as the Luna, not like Tallulah who's the daughter of the blue moon packs alpha.

Suddenly my gamma came running in.

"Alpha Wolfgang! The rogues has attacked the packs hospital. They've taken someone with them!" What? How could they breach our security?

"Where is the Luna? We must keep Tallulah safe!" One of the elders shouted. Everyone started making questions and talking over the other pissing me off.

"Quiet!" I growled making everyone silent at once. "Who'd they take?" I asked my gamma, Remus.

"Tallulah..." He started and everyone starting shouting worried about her being taken.

"Max. Prepare a convoy. We will leave at once. Remus. Contact the blue moon pack and request back up. We don't know how many of those rogues are there" I began commanding. Remus tried to speak again but the door opened once again revealing Tallulah.

"You don't have to worry alpha Wolfgang. You're Luna is safe."

The elders all breath out a sight in relief once they saw her walk into the room.

"If the Luna is here, who have they taken hostage?" Max asked Remus.

" A housemaid from the leaders house." Remus began.

"Aurora" Tallulah finished.

I stood there in shock. Why did they take her?

"She played the rogues and made them believe she was the Luna. They took her instead of me." Tallulah continued.

"How did she pull that off?" Max asked.

"She pulled something from under her sleeve." She said looking me in the eyes. She couldn't have...

"Did the rogues say anything?" One of the elders asked.

"Yes. They said that all of their demands should be granted, and they'd return her unharmed. If not, she'd be the first of many murders to come" Tallulah finished the last sentence and I felt the color draining from my face. Aurora was in danger. She sacrificed herself for the pack.

"We must get her back" Max said but the there was no answer. The elders all looked at each other.

"She sacrificed herself to protect the pack and Luna Tallulah, we must do something to save her." Max said once again. I was still in shock. I couldn't stop thinking about her.

"Beta Max. What that young maid did was very heroic, and we shall be eternally grateful but... She is nothing more than that. A house maid. She is of no value to us." One of the elders said making me snap out of my trance.

"What?!" I growled.

"Alpha Wolfgang. You of all people should know this. We cannot risk our warriors for the sake of a simple house maid." Another elder said.

Tallulah came up to me and slapped me in the face.

"You're an ass! I'm gonna make my father break all ties with you and this shitty pack!" She shouted and ran out of the office with tears rolling down her eyes.

I deserved that. I shouldn't have made her believe I wanted to be in a relationship with her when in reality the one I loved all along was Aurora. I loved Aurora and now she needed my help.

"So you mean to say that you've found your mate and kept it a secret all this time from the pack? From me dude? Your best friend?!" Max shouted; anger clear in his eyes.

"And Aurora? Did she know?" Remus asked.

"Yes..." I answered. "But I forbade her of saying anything to anyone." I said.

"That's why you wouldn't leave her out of your sight even though you claimed to disgust her so much, didn't you?" Max questioned.

"..." I couldn't answer.

"Didn't you Wolfgang!!" He shouted.

I looked down. I couldn't face my friend. After all he was right. I wouldn't accept Aurora as my Luna for her social status, but I could not reject her either. That's why I threaten on turning her a rogue if she told anyone or left the pack.

"You're really something, Wolfgang." He spat, then he turned his attention to the elders. "So... What will it be? Are you still willing to sacrifice the girl? You heard your alpha clearly. The girl is the rightful Luna". He said to them.

They all looked at each other and finally agreed to send a search party to save Aurora.

I just hope it isn't late.
