"Is Rhea dead also, moon goddess?" I asked dreading to hear the answer.

"She has perish as well my dear. Her lifespan had already been cut short when you got exposed to the wolfsbane, and when she gave you that last bit of strength, she also gave you her last bit of life."

Tears rolled down my eyes. "She sacrificed herself for me?"

"Yes my dear..." I cried as I remembered my wolf's limp body lying there. We had only been together a short period of time, but she became my best friend.

"Rhea... I'm so sorry Rhea... I was careless" I cried into my hands. "I'd do anything to get you back Rhea."

"Do you wish to see your wolf again my child?" The moon goddess asked me as she stood and held her hand out for me to take.

"Yes..." I sniffed as I placed my hand in hers and stood beside her.

The moon goddess smiled, then she extended her hand over the lake once more. At the moment, a blinding light flashed over the horizon and I heard a howl.

From the light I saw her. Fur as white as snow bounced off her as she ran towards us over the water. Purple eyes bright as ever.

"Rhea? Rhea!!" I ran into the water with arms wide open as she came into my embrace, both of us falling back into the lake but I didn't care about getting wet. My wolf was here in my arms strong, healthy and happy.

"Ooh Rhea! I thought I lost you!!" She jumped up and down in my arms, tail wagging vigorously. Gone was the faded looking fur. Now it shined so bright and flew strong.

"Aurora!! I'm so glad to see you!" She shouted in glee as she kept pouncing over me and licking my face.

"Now my child. Are you ready to go?" The moon goddess asked me as she walked to the side of us, gliding over the water, her feet never once touching the water.

"Go? Where?" I asked as I looked at Rhea and she cocked her head to the side with one ear bent down.

"That depends of you my child and what you decide" She said. "Will you go on with me or will you return home?" She answered.

I looked at Rhea and she replied with a wide smile as her tongue hung lose from her open mouth. "I'll follow you wherever you decide to go Aurora." She said with determination right before being engulfed in a bright purple light that zoomed straight into my chest.

I turned to the moon goddess and gave her a smile. "I'm ready." I said.

"I feel like a huge truck just ran over me." I tried to joke. "How'd I get here?" I asked.

I could see Beta Maximus waver for a moment before he answered. "We ambushed the rogues and found you deep within the lair in a dungeon bleeding to death. Did you fight against the rogues leader?" He asked.

I nodded. I could recall his deathly fangs digging deep into my ribs.

"Did... Did he...?" The beta trailed off, but I knew what he was trying to ask me. I looked down on my hands and nodded once more. I shuddered just from the memories of his disgusting being over my body.

I hadn't realized that I'd started crying until I felt tears drip on my hand.

"Ar... are you alright Aurora?! Does something hurt? Should I call a doctor?" Max freaked out.

"No... It's okay." I tried to reassure him. "I'm just overwhelmed about everything that happened." I told him. He gripped my hand and squeezed it tight. "Everything will be alright Aurora. You're safe now." I smiled back at him.

He was right. It was finally over. I had escaped deaths grip and I'm alive.
