---- Aurora's POV ----
Morning came quicker than I wished it would. Yeah, I was totally getting cold feet with this date thing with Max. I should've declined right away but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. He's just to sweet to break his heart that way. Believe me, I know what it's like to anticipate a rejection. I had to endure it for months with Wolfgang.
"And he"s been nothing but kind and attentive towards us." Rhea cooed in my mind and she was completely right.
"Let's just get over this the best we can and not hurt Max's feelings in the process." I said to her to which she nodded.
I picked my phone up form the charging port and headed down to the kitchen to find Mrs. Kala in there whipping eggs.
"Morning dearie. Breakfast will be ready soon." She said as she smiled at me warmly.
"Mrs. Kala, it really isn't necessary for you to come and prepare my meals. I told Wolfgang I could do it." I said to her but she quickly dismissed me on the subject. "Besides, I'm more than happy to be doing it and caring for out Luna, none the less." She said happily but I couldn't help the summersault my stomach made at the mention of that title.
"Mrs. Kala, remember I still haven't accepted that title, so if you could just call me Aurora or Rory, I'd be grateful." I said to her as I measured my words to make sure not to offend her.
"Alright dearie. Whatever makes you feel more comfortable." She said as she placed a plate of scrambled eggs, bacons and hash browns. "Now eat up. I'll go take the laundry out." She said and practically dashed out of the kitchen before I could tell her that it wasn't necessary.
I sighed as I picked my phone and decided to text Wolfgang about the matter.
"I thought I told you that I didn't need a nanny. " I sent him the text and almost immediately got an answer.
"I'm the alpha. If I say you need a nanny, you'll have one. Plus, I thought you liked Kala. " He replied.
"I do, and that's why it's seems unfair that you forced her to come here cook my meals and do the chores. I am perfectly capable of doing it on my own you know? " I answered back while I filled my mouth with bacon.
"I know you're perfectly capable of doing it on your own, but still, I'd rather have Kala there to help you out. " Was his quick reply. "At what hour are you and Max meeting today? " He asked and I almost choked on some egg. I really didn't want to talk about that. Much less when he doesn't know that it's actually a date he and I are going on.
"Aren't you suppose to be in a meeting or something? " I asked him as I dosed some orange juice to quickly change the subject.
"Fine Mrs. Kala. I'll let you do your work but don't over exceed yourself." I said giving up in winning any discussion with her. I finally decided to pick back up my phone and found that I had one more text from Wolfgang, two from Max and one from Emma.
"Only because you say so. P.ss: You are my mate until I reject you and that's never gonna happen." I read Wolfgang's reply and I couldn't help rolling my eyes. As usual, ruining everything with his possessiveness.
"Hey Rors. How about we meet in town around 5pm." Read his first text.
"I'm excited for our date. Are you? " Said the other one.
"More like anxious about the aftermath of it." I said and I felt like I would throw up my entire breakfast.
"Hey boo. Don't forget that my bus arrives tonight at 9:15. Better be there or I swear I'll bite your head off Aurora Craton. " I snorted as I read Emma's text. As usual, so authoritative.
Well, I don't have to meet Max until five o'clock. Gives us more than enough time to think on what I'll say to him. I have to find a way to make it sound the least harsh as possible but enough for him to understand there can't be an us between him and I.
