Cronnos stared at her before huffing and running off.

"Wait! Wolfgang!!" Was the last thing we heard before a round of gun shots resonated behind us.

Cronnos ran swiftly through the thick forest dodging each tree in our way. I held on tight, in order of not falling off.

"Wolfgang. We could have saved her." I reprimanded.

"You're incredible!" I heard his exasperated voice in my head.

"ME?! Why?!" I shouted back.

"Tallulah literally sold you off to those hunters, and here you are arguing cause I didn't save her sorry ass?! She was lucky I didn't bite her head off!" Wolfgang growled back at me.

I couldn't help but feel bad for Tallulah. Yeah, she was a bitch and made my life a living hell, but she didn't deserve to die like that.

"What were you even doing out here on your own?! I told you not to wonder in the woods!" He growled and I felt guilty. Once more I placed myself in harm's way unnecessarily.

"How did you even find us?" I asked realizing he came out of nowhere.

"I was on my way back to the village when Cronnos sensed you were in danger and I caught your scent mixed with blood. I told you that guy wasn't trustworthy." He kept reprimanding me but sincerely, I was grateful he showed up in time to save me.

Aahoooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

I heard numerous wolves howling in the distance.

"Are those our warriors? How'd they know?" I asked Wolfgang.

"Since someone was dumb enough to come out here without a warrior, I alerted them as soon as I smelt the blood." Wolfgang retorted.

"Hey!! I can't do a massive mind link like you, Mr. Alpha!" I tried to defend myself.

"You could if you had accepted to become my Luna and performed the ritual." He countered back and I had no answer to that.

Soon enough all our warriors, including Max, Remus, Emma and Aspen were in the forest in their wolf form, and they all ran past us as they bit and clawed at the human hunters who were chasing us.

"What are you doing?! Why aren't you stopping?!" I shouted at Wolfgang who kept running towards the pack house.

"I'm gonna put you safe first." Wolfgang answered.

"What?! No! I'm staying to fight!!" I said to him before jumping off of his back.

Cronnos speared no mercy on any of the human hunters as he launched his massive fangs at them, but I could tell he wanted to rip one particular human in shreds, and that was Wendell.

I managed to fend off a couple of hunters easily, but still, Wolfgang butted in and killed most of my enemies.

"I can fight in my own to, you know?" I said as I kicked a human hunter in the chin and knocked him over with an uppercut.

"Yeah, you were doing so well that you almost got yourself shot if I hadn't showed up last minute." Wolfgang deadpanned, but I could feel the teasing in his voice.

"Shut up." I huffed as I punched another hunter and broke his nose, before swinging my leg with full force and breaking his back bone.

I looked over the field to see how our comrades were doing, and spotted Emma's wolf, Psyche fearing off pretty good against three hunters. Emma was one of the strongest warriors, so I have no doubt in her skills. She was always the top in our defenses lessons.

Suddenly, I saw a figure lurk on the ground. If I hadn't focused well, I wouldn't have noticed it was a human hunter in what seemed like a grass-like camouflage, about to bounce at her.

"Psyche!!!"

I threw my hand out on instinct, as if I'd my arm would magically stretch till where Psyche wolf stood, but what happened was that a massive wall of earth grew right in between her and the hunter the moment he was about to tackle her, then it fell with a great thud crushing the hunter.

I looked at my hands in shock. Did I just do that?
