"CRONNOS!! STOP!!" I shouted to him and he came to skidding stop before toppling over and falling at my feet. I stoop down and cradled his head in my hands, patting the top of it. I called out to Wolfgang through the mind link but he still seemed asleep so I decided to speak directly to Cronnos.

"Cronnos, are you feeling better now?" I asked him, to which he whimpered, before licking my face. I took that as a yes and giggles at his tail which was a wagging disaster as it bounced up and down, hitting the ground with loud thuds. His eyes no longer shinned red, instead there were the baby blue shade I had missed.

"HOW IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE?!! HOW DID YOU BREAK HIS TRANCE?!!" Wendell shouted, anger clear in his voice, a vein evident in his temple about to explode. "KILL THEM ALL!!" He ordered.

Witches and human hunters came charging at us. Cronnos stood to defend us but he staggered and fell back.

I stood and readied my stance as everyone approached. My hands burned as my power flowed. Rage had taken over me by now when suddenly, purple ambers left my hand and traveled through the ground and ran up the humans in a five meters diameter range, engulfing them in its purple ambers. Not a single one of the flames touching any wolf who laid limp and unconscious

Their screams echoed through the silent woods, as all other spectators watched in fear.

"What are you all staring at!? Do something to put out the fire and stop her!!" Wendell shouted to the witches who couldn't seem to understand what was happening. When they were finally out of their stupor, they flew after me, but with a single wave of my hand, they were knocked off their broom, falling before Wendell and his henchmen.

Wendell opened and closed his mouth like a fish out of water, flabbergasted of what just happened.

"Listen to me clearly Wendell Grosvenor. You will leave this land and my pack. If you ever target us or any allied pack, I will personally hunt you down and torture you slowly until you let out your last breath." My voice resonated through the silent forest as it mixed with Rheas own. I took a step forward towards him, and I could see him physically shaking as he retreated for every step I took.

"Have all your people leave my town, NOW!!" I roared and the ground beneath us trembled, as witches and humans screeched in fright, however Wendell shook for other reasons, and it was evident it was pure rage.

One of the human hunters who seemed like a younger version of Wendell, except for the red hair came up to him, whispered into his ears and moved back. Wendell and I had a stare down for what seemed hours but was merely a couple of minutes before he sighed. His demeanor suddenly changed from outrage to calm once more as he passed his hands through his hair, combing through his brown locks.

"Very well. We'll heed your warning, princess. Everyone! Move out!!" He commanded and all his lackeys slowly started retreat, disappearing behind trees. The remaining witches also left.

I felt his breath fan over my face. Our lips just mere inches away.

"You were amazing today Aurora." He spoke so softly and his voice held such tenderness and pride that it had my heart flutter. "Thank you for saving the pack today. I was knocked out for most of it, but Cronnos said you pulled him out of the trance we were in after the fog and single handed you fought off the humans and witches." He said as he held my eyes.

"You are really an amazing wolf Aurora. You truly were the mate meant for me." He said and that had my heart fall. He acknowledge me only now because he sees me as a royal. Nothing else.

I shrugged out of his hands and moved back.

"We need to get the healers here to check on everyone." I said to him and I could see the hurt in his eyes, but I didn't care.

He hurt me first.
