---- Wolfgang's POV ----
"And the final diagnosis of the doctor was that the concoction the witches threw was a brewery of Wolfsbane and nightingale. He said the Wolfsbane were not in strong doses so it wasn't harmful but most likely will have the pack members affected by it debilitated for a couple of days." Remus explained as we were in my office assessing the situation that took place last night.
He and I had sustained less damage than the rest of the pack. Max was the one specially wounded because he took most of the blows targeted to his newly found mate who happened to be Aurora's best friend. What were the odds?
"So far there hasn't been reported any casualties?" I asked my gamma as I inspected the papers the pack doctor had sent me.
"Very few, alpha. Mostly the seekers and warriors who were on guard and Tallulah Wilhelm." He answered. "We still haven't been able to contact the blue moon pack. My guess is that they were terminated when Tallulah didn't succeed in her task." He added and I was sure that had been the case. So far our means to contact alpha Wilhelm and his members had been futile.
"We were very lucky." I sighed as I leaned back into the chair. My body was drained but I still came to my office to have the report done on the events of the night before.
"Indeed we were. You said that lady Aurora was the one who defended the entire pack and gotten the hunters to retreat?" My gamma asked still unconvinced that Aurora had to do with it all.
"Yeah. Cronnos said she had broken him out of the trance we were in and caused havoc on the hunters, burning them alive. If it weren't for her, the entire pack would have been annihilated last night." I rubbed my temple as I remembered everything that Wendell guy said and did.
His main target was Aurora. If I hadn't shown up by then, he would've gotten her. I still can't believe Aurora would go through all that and put the entire village in danger just for a petty love vengeance.
Believe me, I don't regret not saving her sorry ass. She deserved that and more for endangering Aurora and the pack.
Cronnos huffed in agreement but said nothing. He hasn't spoken to me since last night. Said he had a chat with Aurora's wolf and she told him that I fucked it up again with our mate and that I was a royal asshole.
Aurora did seem distant again. I thought we had gotten through this giving each other the cold shoulder before I left, but she is back on pushing me away. The worst part is I have no idea what the fuck I did this time.
"Cause you're a fucking dick. That's what you did." Cronnos retorted.
"Did you two have an argument before you left?" Remus asked as he adjusted his glasses. I know what he was up now. He was assessing the situation. But I needed his advice no more than ever. I may the strong and scary alpha but I have no idea of how to keep a relationship, much less court a woman. Sure I carried out a relationship with Tallulah but that was easy because she was literally all over me. I didn't have to do anything and she was ready to fling herself in my arms. But Aurora isn't. She completely despises my complete existence.
"Oh believe me, it's more than that, dipshit." Cronnos huffed.
"Remus. I need to ask you. Not as your alpha, but as a friend. We've known each other for years. You helped in my training before I was announced the official alpha of the pack. Now I need your training in something else." I said to my gamma.
"Whatever it is alpha, you know I will always be willing to help." Said my gamma, determination in his eyes as he waited for me to speak. I was ashamed of what I was about to ask him, but I had no other choice. This is for my mate."
"Will you teach me how to be more romantic?"
I swear, I just saw my gamma's face go pale as his eyes bulged out. I'm sure this was not what he was expecting, but believe me. I wasn't either and desperate times call for desperate measures.
