He only laughed, offering the mints. "Four for you; same for me. Oh, and your free lipgloss."

"It's a free Chanel."

"All the better, right?"

He sat beside me. Most of the people were struggling not to look at us, but they failed. So now, Michael and I were the artwork of the party. Or in my case, we were like the two gladiators in the colosseum while the spectators were...well...spectating us.

Really, the girls were eyeing me like some meat that was meant to be chewed roughly and spat out like acid. While the guys, um, let's just say they were trying not to stare at me because Micahel's silver eyes were like daggers.

"Okay!" Kimberly began. "Since we're all set, let's begin!" She snapped her fingers, and this crazy, untranslated version of a Korean song began to blast the stereos.

I really couldn't understand what the singers were saying in the song, except for the words sorry, dance, shawty, and baby. Even if I couldn't understand the song, though, the beat was actually nice and it made people bounce in their places, sitting on the plush white carpet.

"What the heck is this song?" I asked Kimberly as she knelt beside Michael and me. I was bouncing along with everybody though, despite the mood I was feeling. To think that some of the guys here wouldn't even show the least bit of interest in a song like this -- but here they were, dancing to the tune, all because they were drunk. Or foxed, as Kimberly bellowed over the music.

"Sorry Sorry by the Super Junior!"

"How'd you found out about this song?" Michael asked, his face all scrunched up. "Can't understand one syllable."

"You don't like it?" she asked.

"Not one bit."

"You have bad taste in music, anyway," I muttered, rolling my eyes.

Michael narrowed his eyes at me. "You don't even know what kind of music I like!"

"Yes I do," I said with a firm nod of my head.

Kimberly was looking at us back and forth like she was eyeing a pingpong ball.

"Oh, yeah?" Michael fired.

"Yeah."

"What?"

I shrugged. "You like Through the Fire."

"That is not bad music."

"You're right," I amended, smiling evilly. "But when you sing it, it is."

Kimberly laughed uproarously, clapping her hands and wiping a tear in her eye. "Bull's eye!"

"I'm going to get my revenge on you when the game begins. Mark my words, little one," Michael vowed, sniffing.

I snorted. "Yeah, whatever."

And so, the game began.

I couldn't say I liked playing the game, but I went along with it anyway.

Kimberly was totally adorable when she and her childhood crush were chosen. She didn't go to the closet like everyone else, that was because she was shaking when her old crush touched her hand and gave her an understanding smile. I thought it was really sweet.

In the end, though, they ended up being locked up in the closet when the other partygoers pushed them inside the large closet. We strained our ears to hear them, but we only heard laughter and childhood memories.

When it was my turn, since I was next to Kimberly, I was quaking in my shoes.

With a deep breath, I took the bottle from Kimberly and placed it at the center of our circle. Michael looked totally smug when he watched me quake in fear -- he knew I was afraid he'd really get his revenge.

I spun the bottle hard.

Only Michael took hold of my elbow and gently pulled me back to face him.

"Um...uh..." I muttered intelligently.

He smiled my favourite smile -- the crooked one. "If you don't want to go in the wardrobe, I'm all right with that."

I closed my eyes. "Thank you. I really don't want to kiss there."

"Good. Then we can kiss here."

"WHAAAAT?"

"What is up with people and the word, 'What?'" He began laughing richly. Then he snaked an arm around my waist, took off my hoodie from my head, and pulled me close.

I gulped.

"Just one kiss. To prove that we're engaged and that we're not just making things up that we fancy each other."

"But we are acting," I hissed.

"Not" -- Michael pulled me ever so close -- "me."

"I --"

I thought I was a cornered animal, unable to escape. The crowd still yelled for us to kiss and the song repeated over and over again!

Sorry sorry sorry sorry, the song sang.

Oh, Michael better be sorry for what he was going to do, all right!

...God, he was staring at me with those gorgeous silver eyes of his.
