The chapter Chapter 79 is one of the most intense moments in Heaven And Hell, written by Miss Schwarz. With signature elements of the Internet genre, this part of the story reveals deep conflicts, shocking revelations, and decisive character changes. A must-read for anyone following the narrative.
But she didn't believe that.
She asked me, "Why on earth would he come back to San Ricardo, back to the same school you attend, when he has everything in England?"
"Because!"
That's what I only told her in reply.
I knew why he was back. He was here to torture me. He was back to get his revenge on me by ignoring me, hurting my feelings more, and by hitting on the hot girls at school who were willing to give themselves to him.
Most of all, he was back to enjoy seeing me get hurt.
I could tell by his wicked smile that those were the reasons why he came back here.
"Keller?" Grams asked, looking at me with concern. "Are you fine?"
I couldn't answer her. I rewinded those thoughts in my head -- I couldn't help but feel a fresh wave of anger toward the bastard. I'd had enough of his stupid attempts to make me feel miserable. Even if he had a good and honest reason for breaking off our engagement, I couldn't help but think: we had a huge misunderstanding.
He was going way overboard with the whole cynic act.
I was trembling so bad because of my newfound wrath, I couldn't help but sit down on the stool, my palms on the kitchen counter in front of me.
"I'll bake you some cookies," Grams told me. She didn't ask why I was suddenly furious, but she didn't have to. She already knew why.
And that was all she was waiting for.
"By the way, my your grand-uncle Jonah included us in his insurance terms. I've reasoned with him and told him that if it wasn't for me, he wouldn't have met your grand-auntie Helen! Of course he had no good response for that, so he agreed. We're fully covered now."
I was momentarily distracted from being angry. "That's great, Grams," I said sincerely. Grams smiled in return and went back to baking her cookies.
"Baaak! Keller pree-tee! Keller nice!"
"Be quiet!" Grams and I barked.
Despite everything, I laughed with my grandmother.
Everything was going to be fine.

It was Thursday, another typical day for school.
Michael still ignored me but instead of looking crestfallen or ashen, I ignored him and strode away confidently to my classes. I could tell that he looked at me with curious silver eyes. Whatever. It's not like I cared anymore, right?
Right.
Oh, for Pete's sake! The airhead believed him? Ha! She was stupider than I thought. I rolled my eyes and finished sharpening my pencil. When I sat down, a finger tapped my shoulder.
"What do you want now?" I hissed, slicing Michael with my green eyes.
Michael pursed his lips in boredom (again) to me. "Pass this, will you."
Of all the nerve! I could stab him with my pencil.
"Throw it at her!" I complained, turning around again to face the teacher who was oblivious to our noise. She was writing on the board while listening to her ancient MP3 player.
"Can't. Too lazy to do it." He raised a brow at me. "Go on."
I crumpled my doodle of Michael, feeling totally angry. "Give it!" I snapped. He nodded and dropped the paper on my desk.
It was crumpled too.
I grinned wickedly.
Without hesitation and with pure unadulterated joy, I gave my crumpled ball of doodle to Stacey, who glared at me but beamed at Michael, who winked at her woflishly.
When Stacey read the paper, especially where it had a drawing of her being fat, she whirled around in her seat, looking furious. "I'm not fat! You said I looked hot in my string bikini yesterday!"
