"Thank you so much! I love you." Those words made me the luckiest guy in the world.
"When we going to leave?" She asked while jumping up and down the couch.
"We are leaving day after tomorrow. So here is my card, go out and shop with Valeria or Bella. Get yourself some clothes for the trip." I handed her the card and kissed her cheek as she blushed. My innocent princess.
Our heads turned towards the kitchen when we heard a glass crashing. We both got up and ran to the kitchen to find Janet's bodyguard, Connor with Lydia who was standing in the corner where the glass was broken near her foot.
"Don't move." I told her as she stood completely still.
"I am so sorry the glass just slippe-"
"It's okay, Lydia." Janet cut her off as she assured her while Lydia wore an apologetic look.
I went over and helped her get out the pool of broken glass as Conner helped me by grabbing Lydia's waist and pulling her towards him. She thanked us as Conner made her sit on the sofa while I checked her foot for any serious injuries.
"You are all good." I told her as she kept thanking me and Janet.
"I have a feeling Conner likes Lydia." Janet whispered with a little excitement in her voice.
"Conner doesn't even talk." I told her as she hummed.
"Yeah true."

Janet Rivera's POV
"Wow Maldives. I have travelled a lot with Derek and trust me that place is a great pick." She said, excited as we drank our coffee. She helped me a lot with what to buy and what not to buy. We had bought bunch of swimsuits, sundresses, makeup and I even bought a lingerie this time since I would want to impress Nathan. I just wish I have the courage to do it.
"Darrell has gotten really big since I saw him." I bopped the little boy's nose and he giggled. He was the cutest thing ever.
"Yeah, and teasing mama a lot!" She said with a huge smile as she rolled her eyes while adoring her child.
"I really wish I have one." I told her as she winked at me. I know what she meant, she wants me to not be a virgin when I get back and even, I want the same. Just want things to go with the flow.
"And Janet, you didn't tell me the reason why you have that guy walking around following us?" I gulped. I shouldn't tell her, yes, she is a good friend but I shouldn't trouble her.
"Nathan has been really worried about me, so he just had a bodyguard for my protection. That's it no big deal." I quickly changed the topic as she shrugged it off. We talked a lot while still in the cafe and then I noted. Her again! I turned to face Connor and I saw him staring at her and then his eyes met mine, he noticed the way my eyes shifted to him and back to my aunt. He realized it all too quick and ran after her but my aunt noted it as well and ran for her life. I got up on my feet as Valeria stood up too, worried.
"What's wrong? Why did that guy run off?" I turned to face Valeria and then her child. I can't do this!
"I think I saw Nathan. I need to go." I said quickly with a smile as she stared at me. I grabbed the shopping bags in my hands as she watched me.
"But the gu-" I cut her off and ran past her.
I crumbled the paper and threw it in the dustbin. Not wanting Nathan to know anything. She can't do anything.
"But I threw it in the trash." I exclaimed as he rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, the trash that has never been taking out since it's in the closet. I found the letter today as it was still there." I lowered my eyes as I sighed.
"I found a camera hidden in the living room. She was watching us." I couldn't believe my ears, did she really had a camera set up.
"She was here, wasn't she? That's the only way she set that camera up." I remember the first time she came when she threatened me. I closed my eyes and nodded. I felt him sit beside me as he took my shaky hands in his rough ones.
"All those things, you should have told me. I mean it, no matter what it is, you tell me. It's for your own good." He said as he grabbed my chin and made me face him. He pecked my lips and placed his forehead on top of mine.
"I am sorry. I know I should have told you but at that moment I was sca- scared of her hurting you. Sh- she is not alone. She threatened me that she would kill you. I do- don't want to lose you." I started sobbing as he pulled me into his body and started whispering soothing words making me relax a bit.
Nathan Rivera's POV
She finally opened up and was safe and sound in my arms, and that's the only thing that mattered the most. When I found the letter, I was shit mad but then the puzzle solved when she told me the reason why she kept quiet about her aunt. It was understandable but that doesn't mean she would hide anything from me from now on. No matter the circumstances.
"It's okay, my love." I reassured her as she finally stopped crying. I laid her down on the bed as she soon enough fell asleep. She must be tired of all this shit and so was I. I am going to end this, once and for all.
