"I can."
"I won't let you. I would love it if you stay with us. Janet needs you more than anything and I would do anything to see that smile on her face." She grinned as she chuckled but kept shaking her head.
"Please." I pleaded as her eyes once again filled with tears but like always, she wiped them away.
"Okay."
Janet Rivera's POV
"How are you my lovely girl?" I turned to face my father who left me when I was 5. He was my everything and I can't blame him for not knowing the truth. His sister was a wicked witch and played her own brother.
"I am good now." I told him as he stepped closer and took my face in his rough hands. His eyes glistered with tears as he kissed my forehead.
"I missed you so much, I shouldn't have left. Things wouldn't be like this, if I didn't leave. I wish I could have saved you." I gulped as he pulled me in a hug. In a long time, I felt peace knowing my father was standing in front of me, embracing me. And I thought he never liked me.
"I missed you too." I told him as I held his hands and laid my head on his chest.
"I hope Nathan is treating you right." He said after pulling away. I blushed and nodded.
"He is."
"It was a good decision of mine." He said proudly as I turned to face him in confusion. Wait so he-
"You told Nathan to marry me?" He chuckled and nodded as I couldn't help but laugh with him.
"Thank you. He is the best." I told him.
"Now all I want from you is forgiveness. For leaving you." He said with his head bowed.
"No don't say that. I forgave you a long time ago." I said with I tilted my head to get a look at him. He aged a lot as his forehead have wrinkles and his hair almost white.
"I love you, my lovely angel." I grinned as I yearned to hear those words.
"I love you too, dad." His lips curved upwards as he patted my head.
"Why don't you forgive mom now?" It's as if his mood changed from 100 to 0. His lips tightened as his fist clenched.
"Never. She did things, that are unforgivabl-" I cut him off as I tried to tell him the truth.
"No dad. Listen to me, she never-" But he never let me speak.
"I don't want to hear it. I can't hear lies anymore. If you want to stay with her, I am fine but I don't want to see her face." I frowned as he rubbed his face again.
"Just stay happy my angel. I wanted to stay for dinner and the night but now I can't." He said with his voice distant.
"Don't go, you just came." I told him as I held his arm to stop him.
"No worries Janet. I will love to join you both but I don't want to ruin your fun." Mom said with a sad smile.
"Please!" I pleaded them both but dad was not agreeing.
"No problem. It would be better if your father doesn't join us. I mean we can have fun." Mom said as she held my hand and all of a sudden something triggered dad as his jaw clenched.
"Fine, I will go." Nathan smile grew as he thought of something I didn't knew. The devil is playing something, something bad.

Janet Rivera's POV
"I am not sharing a room with her." My dad scolded as I flinched. He has been on this for an hour. Turns out Nathan booked a single room for both of them and when I asked him why? His answer was just brilliant. Note the sarcasm.
"They are still married to my information they never got divorced."
And now they were fighting about it. Nathan has already giving up saying there weren't any rooms available in the hotel, not until 2 days. Dad was pretty mad; mom was frustrated and was pinching the bridge of her nose. While Nathan was just staring at me with a smirk as he licked his lips. I rolled my eyes and turned to face my dad while blushing.
"Dad please let it go, Nathan said its only for 2 days. I am pretty sure you can manage." I told him as he stared at me for a good two minutes before sighing, giving in.
We all went to our rooms to get settled and joined back to the lobby. Once we were all there, we went to the restaurant to get some brunch. Me and mom talked about where to visit as Nathan kept a conversation with dad. Nathan ordered many different dishes and all of them tasted delicious. We all went back to our rooms after that and decided to take a nap.
