"Yes?"
"I was thinking that you both should come over for dinner tomorrow." I blunted straight to the point. He went silent.
"Is something wrong?" He asked after a whole minute.
"No man, I just wanted you guys to meet Janet, properly." I said as I heard him typing something.
"Sure, we'll be there. I'm busy right now so chat with you later." He said as I imagined him sitting in his office focusing on his work.
"If you would stop messing around with your wife 24/7 then maybe you could have done most of your work." I teased as he chuckled over the phone.
"Can't help myself." He spoke as I rolled my eyes.
"Later." I hung up the phone. He owned some modish restaurants and a few resorts here in Illinois, Chicago. And being the lazy ass, he is, he pushes his work at the deadline.
I hope tomorrow night goes well, maybe Derek's wife can make Janet comfortable the way I can't.

Nathan Rivera's POV
I cleared my throat to get her attention but she didn't hear me, as I signed in relief. She almost got me worried, I came home to find her nowhere. I searched everywhere only to find her in the balcony of our room. She gazed at the scenery before her. I was late today; the sun was setting already and here she was watching it. The colors of the sunset were illuminating her face as her eyes sparkled.
I stepped forward as I stood right behind her. I slowly tapped her shoulder as she quickly turned her body to face me with locks of her hair slapping my chest. Her eyes wide as she stared at me with her small lips pushed apart. I liked the closeness. Her hands clamped the rails that were on her back as she tried to put distance between us.
"Hey." I smiled at her as she gulped.
I walked home today really late again because of some emergency in the hospital and found the whole dining room filled with the aroma of delicious food, the table filled with variety of food. It was really surprising and elegant, the plates, forks and glasses were shinning and the napkins were put neatly. And the pleasant smell of the food was calling me to devour the goodness.
"Lydia put the sweet dish in the fridge so it remains cool." I heard her soft voice as she came in the dining room. My eyes widened as they raked over her body. She was wearing a beautiful red dress, a ribbon tight on her waist, her chest was fitted perfectly in the dress and the dress was flowy from below the waist with full sleeves. I gulped as our eyes met. My eyes raked over her body once again. Her legs were covered by the thin see-through skin color fabric which looked rather sexy.
She saw the shift in my eyes as her nose turned red. I inwardly, shook my head as I cleared my throat to which she looked up at me.
"You made this?" I asked the question that came in my mind first.
"Y-yes. I know you told me not to go to the kitchen b-but I couldn't help myself, I couldn't just sit and do nothing." I made my way towards her in just two steps as I leaned closer to face. Her eyes immediately shut close as she looked scared. I caressed her cheek, tenderly. She slowly opened her eyes and meet mine, I smiled at her as the corner of her lips slowly turned up making me grin wider.
"Thank you, even though I never told you to cook for me. You did. And I like that about you." I said as her eyes sparkled. This girl standing in front of me has changed my life in just two weeks. Every morning, I have a reason to wake up, seeing her every morning brightens my day. Every night sleeping beside her makes me have a peaceful sleep with dreams full of her.
Marring her was something which actually wasn't my idea but still choosing to marry her was the best decision I have ever made. She didn't speak after that but beamed at me making my heart jump. My eyes went to her lips and I just wanted to capture those luscious lips in mine but that would be too much. I leaned in to kiss her cheek as her breath hitched. Only a few inches but before anything could happen the main bell rang and Lydia came out of the kitchen to see us in this position. She ignored us and left to get the door. I stepped back from my bright red wife as I smirked at her.
