"I don't believe you; your voice is all shaky. I can sense when you lie!"

"I'm good, Devon, stop worrying. Now, go back out to the others."

"Not until you're back out here."

"I'll be out in a minute." I breathe in and out. I'm starting to get antsy. I think I'm going to have to tell Damian soon because they're getting closer together. My back is really sore and I'm very uncomfortable. I want this to hurry up but at the same time, I don't, because then, I'll be in pain. I get the biggest and most painful tightening. I grip the hand towel barrier to help me stay up and then, let out a gasp as water bursts from in between my legs and onto the ground, forming a puddle underneath my feet. Shit, I should tell them now. When I'm finished cleaning the amniotic fluid from my legs, I'll tell them. I cry out in pain as the pain continues and Devon bangs on the door for me to open it. After the pain passes, I wash my legs with paper towels and water. I take a breather, then, unlock the door to my completely concerned brother.

"Amber, what happened?!"

"Nothing, I'm fine!"

"You're not fine, you're in pain and I heard you, don't lie." He glances down at the puddle of amniotic fluid and it takes him about a minute to realise what has happened. "Is that what I think it is?"

"No," I lie. My brother knows me and he knows when I'm lying.

"Another lie," he sighs. "Amber, be honest this time, have your waters broken?"

"Please don't tell anyone," I beg.

"Amber!" he shouts with worry. "Oh my God, you're in labour. Of course I'm telling them, we need to get you to the hospital!"

"Calm your ass down, Devon, if you talk any louder, they'll be able to hear you over the music. I don't want them to know until after the party, I'll ruin it if we leave now. Look, there's only like an hour left. I can make it until then; I've been fine for the past few hours."
