"On behalf of my beautiful, very pregnant mate and I, I would like to thank you all for coming-" The rest of what he says is cut off from a pain I get, so I don't listen, s0 I can concentrate on my breathing. I cough softly and bite my lip from pain. Devon notices that I'm getting another because we made an agreement that I'd cough when I got another one. Devon takes my hand and I squeeze it roughly. People awe at our joint hands, if only they knew the real reason he's holding it... Halfway through Damian's speech, I get the worst one and cry out as I bend over in absolute pain. Damian drops his glass from shock and worry and holds onto me to try to keep me upright, as everyone gathers around us.

"Amber, Amber, what's wrong? What's happened?! Where are you in pain?!" Damian frets frantically. Fuck, now he's really worried and they're all going to want to get me checked out.

"Is something wrong with the twins?" Hannah worries, almost in tears from the fright of me screaming.

"Baby, answer me, are you okay?! Is something wrong?!" Damian panics, almost shouting. I cry out more as the pain worsens and I hurt my hearing from everyone shouting out my name. I take deep, steady breaths as I try to regain my balance. Nick grabs a chair and puts it behind me. Damian and Devon help me sit on the chair properly and I breathe ragged as the pain feels like torture. Ellen and Rachel start rubbing soothing circles into my back as everyone around me freaks out. I knew I should have listened to Devon, I'm so stubborn.

"Baby, please try to answer me, I'm so worried right now. I'm so scared you're having a miscarriage or something's wrong with you. Please try to tell me where the pain is," Damian begs as he starts to cry a bit. I screech in pain again as I get another contraction. They're so close together now, I feel like I'm going to have them any minute.

"We need to get her to the hospital, she's in labour," Devon discloses, "Please don't freak out, Damian, that's why she made me promise not to tell you; she didn't want anyone to worry." Everyone gasps and some of the girls squeal with excitement and glee.

"Don't freak out?! Are you freaking kidding me? My mate is in labour for who knows how long and she didn't bother to tell me and now she's going to give birth any minute!" Damian shouts with rage. Oh no, he's really mad at me.

"Devon, you should have told us anyway, despite her making you promise! This is really dangerous! She's not in a hospital!" my Dad gives out to him.

"Please don't blame him, he only found out when my waters broke and I made him promise, it's all my fault." I start crying from pain and my mother hugs me to her chest. "It's so sore, I can't do it," I bawl.
