"Thank you, as do you," I say softly and seductively, pulling him by the shirt to my lips before we kiss again.
"Come on, baby, let's get you ready." I get dressed in a cute, purple dress that Damian had picked out from my closet. "You can wear something else; I just thought this would suit the occasion."
"No, I'll wear this, thanks, Damian." He puts my flats on for me, since I wasn't able to bend down properly. When he finishes, he looks up at me because he's kneeling on the ground and then, he kisses my belly twice, since he was already facing them.
"Baby," he starts and I look down at him with a smile, "I love you."
"I love you too," I repeat, smiling involuntarily. He gets back up and pecks my lips. He brushes my hair for me, as I sit in front of my dressing table. "Thanks, servant." He smiles and kisses me again. I love all these random kisses. I put on some light make up, since I don't really need it and then, straighten my hair. We both go to the bathroom and brush our teeth and finally, go downstairs. I enter the living room full of people in formal attires. This dinner must be really special if we're all going formal.
"You look beautiful," Rachel compliments, as everyone gasps at me.
"I feel fat," I complain, running my hand over my large belly. I get another contraction and bite my lip with pain. Now they're actually starting to hurt, that can't be good. Am I about to go into labour? My waters haven't broken yet. I keep getting contractions and they feel worse than the ones I normally get. Something's wrong. I won't tell them until after the dinner because I don't want to ruin it for everyone. Oh my god, this better not be the real contractions. I can't have them yet, I'm not ready. Don't panic, Amber, you're probably overreacting, it's probably just Braxton Hick's. Hopefully....
"Time to go or we'll be late!" Devon announces, checking his watch for the time. We get in the cars and Simon ties a blindfold on me and I try to take it off but he had that knot tied tight.
"No peeking," Paul orders. I feel the car stop and people start to leave the car. They better not leave me alone in the car.
"Let's go, darling," Damian says, opening my door and holding me, so he can guide me out, in case I fall. He locks the car and holds onto my waist, as he shows me to wherever the hell we're going. We stop and he whispers to me that I can take it off now. He starts to unwrap it from my eyes and I gasp, as I see the crowd of people gathered before me.
"Surprise!" they cheer, laughing as I stare at them all with shock. Is this all for me?! It's a baby shower! I wish they told me I was having a baby shower! My family, Damian's family, our close friends who had come in the cars and all the rest of our friends are here to celebrate with us. This is going to be a great day!
"They make a wonderful couple, I've never seen two people more suited for each other," Damian's mum concurs.
"These two will be so lucky when they arrive," his dad, affirms, giving me a bright smile.
"You all spoil me!" I say.
"You're my girl; of course I'm going to spoil you!" Damian confides.
"I feel bad now because it's always you doing things for me and never the other way around."
