To my biggest surprise, the phone wasn't locked. I opened it and searched Ace and Leu.

I called them and told them that Max told me to call them. They said Ok and the call ended. I felt relief on doing so, but just then a gunshot just hit the wall on my side. I froze at my place.

"Who's there?" someone said.

I'm really dead.

Hailey's POV 

"Who is there!?" someone exclaimed.

My heartbeat stopped, my breath hitched up in my lungs, my legs froze, and sweat beads started flowing.

I'm dead.

I'm really dead.

I mean, literally dead.

I decided not to go out. Anyways, if I go out, I'll die. I mean, Robert really wants me dead, and these men don't look good either.

"Don't you dare change the point of attraction here" I heard Robert's voice.

"I'm not, you bastard! There's someone!" the same man said.

"Come on, shoot," Robert said. "Me" he added.

I again peeped out of the place I was hiding.

All the guns have been pointed towards Robert, like before. I don't know why, but I was scared because of him.

Will he be alright?

Fuck, shut up, Hailey. You are just insane!!

Suddenly a phone started ringing. Thank god, it isn't mine or I should say Robert's phone that I was having. I put it on silent when I remembered that it can also ring.

The man from earlier started laughing. "Here's a news you would love to hear..." he said. Robert looked at him.

"Sure tell me," he said.

"Max is shot," he said. "Three times" he added.

My breath hitched up once again. Max? That Max who was here and who told me to tell Robert to call that Leu and Ace?

"He'll make it alive," Robert said with mysterious calmness.

I mean, how can someone be so calm when one of him 'close' men as I suppose, is shot, that too three times!?

"But you won't," he said and the firing started. I closed my eyes and sat down. I was so terrified. What's gonna happen now?

Soon I heard new gunshots coming from all sides. I just sat there with closed eyes, I have never witnessed such an incident and I was nauseated.

After some time, which seemed like an eternity, the gunshots subsided. With a loud-beating heart, I opened my eyes and looked towards the direction.

All the men who were pointing guns at Robert were dead.

All the men which seemed ours were okay.

And, mostly Robert was okay.

Robert signaled something to Cane and started coming towards my direction.

My breath stopped in between.

"Get Out," he said. "We need to talk in the room, Corazon," he said and left.

So, he knew that I was here!?

With trembling legs, I followed him to the room. He went straight to the bathroom and I heard the sounds of a shower.

"Tell me the bloody name!!" he yelled.

"Max!" I said.

"He's gonna suffer," he said and got up.

"Wait. He did it for you!" I stood up.

"He endangered your life!" he yelled.

"Like you care about it!" I yelled back too.

He suddenly pushed me on the bed. His face was close to me, while I was breathing heavily.

"How did you open my phone?" he asked.

"W-what h-h-how," I said. He smirked.

"How did you know my password?" he asked.

"I... There was n-no password!" I said.

"Don't lie bitch!"

"I... I... I wasn't... I am not..." I started crying.

He got back and pressed his temple. Maybe he was having a headache.

"Just why are you lying?" he asked slowly.

"I-I'm really not, s-sir," I said.

"Why does everyone have to lie!!" he yelled and got up. He took his phone that was kept on the table. The lock was again back!!

"What is this bruja?" he asked slowly.
