"Really? This was your idea. So practically, you are the smart one" I said, sitting on one of the chairs.

"But you completed it. Like you complete..." he said and took another seat. "... Me" 

I looked at him and he smiled lovingly at me. I blushed and shied away, but he took my hand and kissed it. "You are the other half of me," he said.

"You read it on the internet?" I asked.

"How does that matter?" He asked, suddenly irritated. "I was getting so romantic and you..."

"Oh, Mr. romantic, I guess it's time to go home," I said and stood up. "Okay?" I asked.

"Yeah" he replied and placing a quick peck on my lips, he took his stuff and we went down to his car and drove off.

I reached home with him, and preparing dinner was a good idea, he loved it. He told me that I should cook from tomorrow, right? But I don't listen to him!

He was quite shocked when I told him that I dismissed the cook. Nevertheless, he enjoyed and even praised my food.

Guess we are going in the right direction.

"Tomorrow there is this important meeting. You have prepared?" he asked me while eating.

"Yes. I have"

"Um... I  wouldn't speak much in this" he said.

"What? Please not again" I sighed.

"Nope... I mean, I really will not. I will just be present. You have to manage everything for this one too"

"But what if I make any mistake--"

"I don't care. Just try your best, that is what I expect" he said and smiled. "You will, right?"

"Of course, Robert," I said and got up, as I completed my dinner. "Meet you at night"

"Yeah" he replied and I made my way towards the room to study for tomorrow's meeting once again.

Robert's POV

Tomorrow's meeting is a deal we need to make with the Hunter Association. It was not my idea, and neither his, but we need to come together to develop a special security system that would help the Pentagon in national security.

Being the two leading businesses, and coincidentally, security manufacturing company, we were specially asked to team up and do this personally.

I could have turned down the offer, but being a good businessman, I can't let my personal feelings hamper my company's or anyone else's reputation, nor can I let national security be in any threat. So, I decided to accept this. But I hate that Ervin and I will always. That's why I want Hailey to maintain everything tomorrow and I know she is capable.

I went back to my room and found her working on her laptop.

"Work?" I asked as I sat beside her.

That was just the first time, SHE initiated a kiss, willingly. I smiled and kissed her back.

We slept after that because tomorrow is gonna be a tiring day.

Hailey's POV

I woke up and found that he was not beside me. I figured I again slept more, so I got up and saw the time.

7 AM.

Well, I think not so much.

Anyway, I got ready and went downstairs. I told the cook again that we didn't need him to cook anything more from now on, so he can leave.

He left and I started making breakfast. Once done, I went to the table and arranged it. He has not returned or came here, so I thought he was not in the house.

I called him and he picked up at once.

"You up?" he asked me.

"Yes, a long time ago. Breakfast is ready, when will you come?" I threw my question at him.

"You made it?" he asked.
