"Yes," I replied whilst making my way to the kitchen again.

"Well... in 10 minutes?"

"Okay, come fast" I replied and he accepted.

I cut the call and started thinking about things.

Things like... isn't this the life I always dreamed of?

What is missing?

My family.

I know, they say that after marriage, it is your husband and his family, who is yours, but no, I don't agree with them.

The one who gave me birth, the one who raised me, can't be forgotten so easily.

I just want to meet my mom. And today might be a good time to ask him... if I make no mistakes in the project presentation.

I said to myself and went back to the living room and waited for him.

He came after 9 minutes and smiled at me. "I came one minute fast"

I chuckled at his cute behavior of coming 'one minute fast'. Then we sat down and ate breakfast.

"It is just so delicious. Will you make it regularly?" he asked while eating his food.

"Yeah sure if you like it that much," I said and ate mine.

"Sure, I do. Nothing is better than this!" He exclaimed and I smiled.

"You are so sweet," I said.

"Thanks"

After completing the dinner, I glanced at my watch. I had some more time.

I took out Ervin Hunter's file. I remember him; he was the one who got the second-best businessman award of the year, and yes! He was the one who got Robert mad.

Maybe that is the reason he wants me to do this one.

And I will.

That too without any mistakes.

I made my way towards the car, while the file still in my hands. I read my project file all over, while he was driving his car to the office.

As I reached the office, he told me that we have to go to a separate venue for the meeting, because Ervin didn't agree to come here, and being the leading company, we don't go to other companies for contracts.

He told me that the meeting is organized in a hotel room, known as a conference room. We entered and I came face to face with Ervin Hunter and an older man, probably his dad. 

"Hello, Mr. Robert" the old man was quick to speak. "I am Mark Hunter"

"Hello, Mr. Mark" Robert replied. "And Mr. Ervin" 

"Hello, Mr. Robert" Ervin replied. "And you are...?" he asked me.

All eyes were at me, waiting for me to answer.

"Excellent plan. I must add my ideas tomorrow" he said and got up. 

"I'll get going now. Nice working with you" he said, particularly looking at me.

"Y-Yes" I replied and he smiled. Then he left with his dad and we were left in the place.

I looked at Robert, whose mood was suddenly not good. "How was my presentation?" I asked, expecting him to smile or be happy.

"Fine," he said and left the building.

Feeling suddenly unhappy, I left the building with him and sat with him in his car.

We reached the office and he went straight to his cabin. I followed him. I am his wife; I have every right to know why he is not happy.

He sat down and I entered.

"I don't want to talk to any--" he stopped as he looked at me. "Why are you here?" he asked suddenly in a cold tone.

"Why are you unhappy?" I asked.

"Just leave!" he said as I took a seat across him.

"Robert, why are you cold with me... once again?"

"Oh yeah, I didn't tell you how your presentation was, right?" he asked and I nodded, hope emerging inside me.

"It was... not good. I didn't like it" he said.

"What? Why? Did I make any mistake-?"

"You... You knew he was staring at you and you didn't say anything. You continued your presentation. You even smiled at him. But the main thing is that you saw that he was constantly staring at you and you didn't react!" he yelled.
