The car stopped in front of this palace. It's a fairy tale, my life. I mean, this is literally a palace! Such a huge mansion! I can't even afford to dream of something like this. But yet here I am.

"Close your mouth," He said to me.

Then I realized my mouth was wide open in awe of the Palace.

I embarrassedly closed my mouth and then we entered the house. He suddenly warped his hands around my waist. I looked at him and he said, "Do as I say"

"Okay... sir" I continued moving.

We were welcomed by three of the maids. They bowed to us and then an old elderly lady came into our sight.

"Oh my! Robert, you've got yourself such a beautiful wife! I'm so proud of you!" she came to us; her eyes looked beautiful.

She pulled me in a bone-crushing hug. I looked at Robert as he stood beside me.

He was smirking. Wow.

Then an elderly man came too.

"Hey son, and uhh you've brought your wife? Well, she's good" he said, still coming towards us.

I bowed to them out of respect.

"Oh yeah, we didn't even introduce ourselves. I'm Jennifer Anderson, his mother" the lady said, getting away.

"And I'm Samuel Anderson, his dad. Nice to meet you... uh..."

"Hailey Cameron! I'm Hailey Cameron, sir and mam" I said.

"Oh, hello Hailey. And call us dad and mom" she said, a beautiful smile present on her lips.

"Thanks... mom," I said. It feels a little weird calling someone else... mom.

She smiled. She was good, I felt awesome around her. She was giving me that aura of my real mother.

"We will marry this week," Robert said in his cold tone.

Is he always this cold around his family? Or because I'm here?

"This week!? Woah, you're desperate, aren't you, Rob!" someone said from behind. We turned back and a young girl came into the scene.

"Oh crap! When did she come, mom! And you! Don't call me that... Whatever crap you speak!" Robert replied in an irritated voice.

"Oh, hello Hailey! I'm Katherine Anderson unfortunately his sister... You can call me Kate!" she said ignoring her brother.

"Ohh hi Kate! By the way, you're fortunate to have him as your brother!"

"Oh really! Love is blind, love is blind!" she said in a sing-song voice.

I laughed at her. We became friends just as we met. She's so lively.

"Oh yeah, Hailey, can you let me choose your wedding dress?" his mom asked me.

"All is set mom, don't interfere" with that Robert took my hand, rather harshly, and dragged me to the dining room.

Well, that was cold!

"Sit here!" with that he left.

He is strange.

Robert's POV

The whole ride was dangerously silent. We reached a hotel and headed in. We took two different rooms as she demanded and waited for the next day.

Hailey's POV

I called Ivan as soon as I got into the room of this hotel and told him about the wedding.

"Yeah, uh... Robert told me"

"You know him?"

"uh... Y-Yeah"

"Ohh. I'm so excited about our marriage, Ivan!" I said as the excitement in me was at its peak.

"Yea, me too. Okay, I'll talk later, Hailey"

"Okay bye," I said and the call ended.

Is he ignoring me? No, maybe he's just nervous. He is like that normally actually. He is nervous almost every time he talks to me. And now probably more because we're getting married! It had always been my dream to marry him.

But I was also concerned about my mom.

I messaged Robert.

"uh... Sir... Can I see my mom? You said I could after I tell you my decision" I said.

He saw it after five minutes.

"After the wedding," he said and offline!

Oh crap. After the wedding. Well, better than never! I'm really looking forward to our wedding. I want to meet Ivan once but he denied meeting me. Politely, though. I wonder what's on his mind. But anyway, I don't, not even a bit, doubt him. Because he has been the shy type of guy. Just a week and I will be his!
