Hailey's POV
It's the day! My wedding day. I'm so happy about it. I've talked to Ivan a few times and he said he was also excited, unlike the last times. I'm so happy.
I was getting ready. My mom isn't here, but I have my brother, cousin sister, and my best friend here.
My brother, Alex, was in London till now. He flew back after knowing about mom and my wedding. I told him everything, he is the one I share everything with. Firstly, he didn't agree but after all, he's my brother, he can understand me. So, he did, and yeah, he gave me some ideas to explain this to my cousin and my best friend.
Yes, I didn't even tell my best friend, because she will definitely tell mom.
"This dress is perfect!" Said Lisa, my best friend.
"Yeah, Ivan has chosen this!" I said while looking at the dress graciously.
This dress was sent by Robert to me. Nevertheless, he told me it was chosen by Ivan.
"Wear it, wear it!" she said.
Yeah, she acts like a 13-year-old.
Well, I changed. I went in front of the mirror.
Apart from my shabby hair, my dress is the best of its type. I loved it, loved it more than anything. The best wedding dress anyone could ever dream of. I just loved it.
Two girls came inside; they were here to get me done.
They started doing different tortures to my hair. I mean, literally tortures using different machines, and all. But the result was amazing.
"Your groom is gonna die with your beauty!" One of them said.
"No! I don't wanna kill him!" I joked. They laughed.
It was fun getting ready. My makeup was also done and I was looking amazing. I thanked the girls as they left. My best friend was my sister's maid of honor. Yup, my cousin isn't too close to me.
I was so happy. Finally, the time has arrived and I was going to the stage. Few people were there. I was shocked to see no one from Ivan's side. But it's fine, his parents are not close to him at all. He rarely meets them, and he also told me that he's better off without them.
When I reached the stage of the wedding, Ivan had an uneasy smile on. That was quite suspicious, he wasn't the type to show fake smiles.
The priest was about to start chattering something from the Bible, Ivan didn't look me in the eyes. I didn't know what was happening, so I didn't say anything. But something was definitely fishy.
Suddenly out of nowhere, Robert came. I was looking at him. He looked at me, smirked, and then told the priest to stop. He was followed by many other men. Each of them pointed a gun at my family members, that is Alex, Lisa, and Sara, my cousin.
They all gasped in fear, while my mind stopped processing for a few moments.
"S-Sir? What happened...?" I asked, trembling while looking at the paled faces of my family.
"I'm your brother. I'll save you no matter what!" he said and came near me.
Robert took out his gun and shot him in his feet. He screamed with pain.
"Ahh! Are you crazy!! How can you!" I started crying loudly.
"I will shoot him in his head if you speak anything!"
"Take him to the hospital... Please..." I begged.
"Sure, but after the wedding," he said. I kept quiet. Alex was looking at me helplessly. Sara and Lisa were also helpless, their hands were tied and guns were pointed. They became silent when Alex was shot.
"Now... You... M-may exchange r-rings..." the priest said, stuttering. He was indeed afraid of the incident.
He took my hand harshly and put the ring. He asked me to do the same.
"B... But"
"I'll shoot your sisters and friends in their head and still... you will have to marry me. You want that?"
"No!" I yelled and hurriedly put the ring in his hands. He smirked.
