Robert's POV

I lost control when she mentioned my family. I knew... I had been holding back for so long-- and I have been really happy. But I have stopped drinking alcohol... and I am suffering from AWS.

I sometimes... I can't control my emotions at all. And that is what happened, right now. I would never ever try to hurt her-- not to mention, to kill her-- I don't know what the hell happened to me. I was... just out of control.

I have to find her and apologize to her. Even if she doesn't listen, I have to find her. There are people out there, who wanna hurt her in their good senses and I have to protect her.

I called Max.

"Hey Robert"

"Max. Find Hailey, now!" I ordered.

"Find?"

"Yes. She ran away... please!" I said.

"Sure thing, boss" the call cut and I waited for any more updates on her.

In the meantime, I checked all of my other Apartments-- she wasn't anywhere. Not even at her house.

"Boss. Found her" Max reported and the last hope emerged at me.

"Okay, where?"

"At Alex's house. We can't do anything right now; she is with her brother"

"How did she even know where her brother was? When he isn't at her home?"

"We don't know. But right now, she is mentally broke"

"I am going. Send her location" I said and cut the call.

Fine, I will make things right this time, Hailey.

Hailey's POV

 I ran away and after running, I realized that I have no place to go.

It is not like I would die on the streets now-- because I have my own house. But I don't wanna go there; he would definitely find me there.

 I went to several places, like the Church-- they say that we get all the answers there. I prayed for a while, and they are correct.

 I saw Alex there.

 I ran to him and he was shocked as he saw me.

"Hailey?" he asked and I nodded my head.

"Ye-s Alex!" I hugged him and he hugged me back.

"Oh gosh, why are you here?"

"I-I... I ran away"

"Did he hurt you!?" He asked, getting away from me.

"N-No, but..." I trailed off. "I-I don't know. He... he changed again. We were happy and suddenly he... He again started behaving as he used to do before" I cried my heart out.

I lost it and ran away. Wow. Way to go, Hailey.

I sat down on the couch-- the only one-- in his 'secret base'.

"How do you work? What do you do now?" I asked, wanting to start a conversation.

"I...I am still in business and I rarely stay here. I have to usually go to London, every now and then. You know, my business is newborn-- I don't have many employees and many people to go and crack the deals for me" he replied and sat down beside me.

"Are you okay?" He looked at me with concern.

"Of course I am!" I replied.

"Doesn't look like. Your mood is off-- even when you ran away from the biggest trouble you ever had"

"No, I made everything worse" I cried. "I-I won't ever know where my mom is... and even if I meet him-- because he can only tell me where mom is-- he will be very angry with me. He will punish me. I have ruined my life. I have ruined OUR life!!"

"NO!" he suddenly looked tense. "You haven't! You had to save yourself from that monster. And anyway, we will find our mom!"

"I hope it is true..."

Suddenly the alarm of the room went off and the tension lines on Alex's face were evident. 

"Hide" he instructed as I went behind the curtain, the one which was long enough, and held my breath.

The door was forced open, I could hear the sounds. And the next sound froze me.

"Hailey... sorry" I heard Robert's broken voice, in front of my curtain. "I know you're here. I know you are hiding behind this, but... I won't force you out. I want you to come out willingly and come back to me-- so that everything can be... like before"
