"L-Like before?" I questioned.

"Yes. Like... When we were happy. I-I can explain the reason for what I did today. P-Please give me a chance"

I was shocked by the way he was dealing with this situation. He isn't mad?

He is apologizing?

He has changed... again?

"You... sure?"

"Yes," he replied with determination. "Please"

"Okay" I gave in and as I came out, he pulled me in a hug. 

"Thank you, Hailey! I thought I would lose you today"

I was shocked-- way too much shocked. He was really happy to see me and he wasn't angry. Guess, I don't know him well even after living with him for over a year.

"Let's go" he got away.

"Y-Yeah" I looked at Alex, who was looking... confused.

"You really want this?" Finally, Alex spoke up.

"I... guess"

He looked quite disappointed by my reply and he turned towards Robert.

"I will really... Never hurt her again" Robert assured Alex.

"I hope not" Alex looked towards me again. "I will miss you"

 "You can come to meet her anytime" Robert surprised me. "Just... give me-- no, give her a call. She has a phone now. So, exchange your numbers and keep in contact"

"Are you sure?" I asked because he was the one who said that I should not make any contact with the phone he gave me.

"Yes. Do it now" he exclaimed and with happiness, Alex gave his phone to me.

I inserted my number in his phone. But I saw a contact.

"You have a girlfriend?" I asked, my eyes still fixed on the phone.

"Uh... yeah"

"What's her name?"

"That's not relevant"

"It is" I looked at him.

"Um... no, it isn't"

 "Oh okay," I gave his phone back. 

"A piece of advice - change her name from 'my baby' to some boy's name before mom makes it to home. You are gonna get a good beating" I winked and he rolled his eyes.

Smiling, I left the place with Robert.

"You forgave me?" Robert asked while driving.

"Yes," I replied, my eyes fixed on the road ahead of me.

"You are... unbelievable. You are so good, sometimes I think I don't deserve you"

I looked at him and a smile played on my lips. He was not just 'not angry' with me, but was also asking for my forgiveness. I know, it is common for anyone, but he is different. He rarely apologizes, and he not only accepted that he was wrong but apologized too.

"If you don't deserve me, then no one does"

Robert's POV

As she said those words, a little happiness played inside my chest.

I looked at her with a smile plastered on my face and I took her face in my hands. "I would love to become you" I whispered.

Her cheeks heated up and I found her blushing before she shrugged her face out of my grip and went back. 

"So, do I have to make it?"

"Your wish"

"Okay then. Tell me what they like?"

"I don't know" 

She was shocked by my answer. "You don't know?" 

"Yup" I went back and sat down on my couch and took out my phone. "Anyways, make anything. They can eat anything, as long as it is edible"

"I don't even know if it will be edible" I shifted my gaze towards her as she rolled her eyes on her own comment. "Anyways, I am in the kitchen. Call me if you need me"

"Oh, I need you" I winked and she sighed. 

"Enough. I am going"

I chuckled and she smiled and left for the kitchen.

Hailey's POV

It was late night and his family must be arriving at any minute, so I better finish cooking.

Yeah, I haven't finished it till now.

But I am fast-- I cut down those tomatoes in 42 minutes and that other vegetable in just 38 minutes.

"Really?" I heard him sighing standing beside me.

"What?" I said, my eyes still fixed on the food I was making.

"You have been here for the last 4 hours!" he took a quick peek at the pan. "And this?"
