His Girls novel Chapter 11

He bowed his head and nodded. "Yes mam I understand. Thank you."

I sighed and moved back behind the stroller. "Say goodbye. The next time I see you, you better have talked to Adain."

He nodded his head and bent down and let Alyssa grab onto his finger with her hand. "Bye sweetheart see you soon." I had to tell myself he wasn't a pedophile just my daughters mate and he had no sexual feelings toward her. Oh this was going to be hard.

Once he stood up and he looked at me apologetic. "Again sorry Luna. I know this is strange for you. I'll speak to Alpha right away."

He bowed his head and turned to leave but Alyssa started to cry reaching for him. Luke looked back a strained look on his face. Alyssa let out a healthy wail and a pained look covered his features. He turned and walked away stiff.

"Son of bitch." I muttered unbuckling Alyssa and picking her up. Would this happen every time he left?

I groaned and ran my hand through my hair. I knew Adain was going to be a hard ass with him about Alyssa and would most likely ban any contact for now until he was ready. Out of the two of us I was the one who was more open minded. It was just difficult knowing the grown man talking to my daughter would one day actually be my son in law in every sense of the word.

"What was all that? Luna? Alpha? Be part of our lives? Whats going on Sidney?" Stan demanded.

I groaned dropping my head back. Stan didn't know about the werewolf thing and explaining his friend was soul mates with my baby would be mind numbing difficult.

"We'll talk about this later okay. Can we just enjoy this pretty day?" I asked rubbing Alyssa's back as she continued to cry. He agreed but after an hour and half Alyssa still hadn't stopped crying. After ten minutes I knew we needed to go back home. When we were at home I tried everything to calm her down but it wasn't working.

"Hey you want to see daddy?" I asked her pressing a cool rag to her heated face. She didn't answer and I bounced her pressing my lips to her heated forehead.

I got Stan to watch Alicia and drove Alyssa to the shop. Adain stepped out looking worried as I carried Alyssa to him. Alyssa reached for him and he scooped her up pressing a kiss to her cheek.

"Whats wrong princess?" He asked rubbing her back. Aiden looked to me and I sighed rubbing my forehead.

"He showed up."

When I didn't say anything else he gave me a frustrated look. "He who Sidney?"

"Her mate okay he showed up at the park and when he left she started crying and she hasn't stopped."

Adain growled and held Alyssa closer.

"What's his name."

"Luke. I told him he had to talk to you before he saw her again but its been almost two hours since he left I think you need to call him. She's going to make herself sick if she doesn't stop soon."

Adain debated it while trying to sooth Alyssa at the same time.

"Give her to my mate and follow her back home. I'll be there in an hour. I'll deal with all this then." Adain growled.

Luke reluctantly let Alyssa go and I quickly put her in her car seat. She was still asleep and I guess she would be for awhile. Adian pecked my lips before I got into the car and drove home Luke following behind me.

I sipped on my sweet tea as I eyed Luke who was on the floor with Alyssa. Luke was playing with her to her delight. She squealed with laughter and joy and my heart softened toward Luke. He made her so happy.

Alicia laid on my chest sleeping the sound of her sucking on her pacifer a soothing noise to me. I gently combed through her locks amazed her twins laughter hadn't woken her up. Alyssa would usually be knocked out too but Luke's presence kept her awake.

"Is this not wierd for you?" I asked quietly.

Luke smiled handing Alyssa his phone watching as she became entranced. "Yeah it is. I never imagined that when I met my mate she would still be in diapers but I already love her. She's suddenly my whole world and I'd do anything to keep her happy."

"You love her?"

"Yeah but the love I feel for her is more brotherly than anything. I know one day it will evolve as she will but right now that seems so absurd. I love her Luna but I'm not in love with her."
