"Nathan!" Tom yelled walking over and Nathan scowled making me hold back a laugh at his irritated expression. "I thought since you're new to this school you would like to meet my friends." Tom said smoothly before his eyes moved over to me.
"Why don't you introduce me to your friend over here first?" Nick said, a charming smirk appearing on his face.
"You see I would but I don't even know your names. All I know is you're from that douche's group," Nathan said as I threw the basketball to him and he threw it in the hoop. It circled around the rim before falling in. I grabbed the ball and dribbled it a little before throwing it in. The ball was grabbed by Kyle before I could get to it making me scowl.
"Ball," I demanded holding at my hand making him snort and roll his eyes.
"Why do you look so familiar?" Max asked and my eyes widened at the sound of Max's voice. I've never really heard him say anything. His voice was smooth and I noticed he had a small British accent.
"Hey are you that girl from Mr. Martez's computer screen?" Kyle asked me and I scowled.
Dad, you will pay for this.
"Mr. Martez is my dad. What exactly is on his computer screen?" I narrowed my eyes acting as if I had no idea.
"It's just a hot picture of you from your graduation," Kyle responded.
"Well as long as it's hot I don't care." I shrugged, hitting the ball out of his hand and passed it to Nathan who started to dribble it around a little.
"I like you," Tom said throwing an arm around me.
"Too bad the feeling isn't mutual," I said patting his chest before removing his arm from around my shoulder.
"Am I ever going to get to know your name?" Nick asked flashing me another charming smile.
"Nah," I said shaking my head.
"No?" he asked obviously surprised.
"Did I stutter?" I asked and he shook his head.
"Who is this fine babe?" Caiden asked coming up and I tried not to scowl.
"Do not call me a 'fine babe' again unless you want a black eye." I sneered and Caiden rolled his eyes not at all affected.
"Will it look as bad as yours?" he asked and I held back the urge to hit him where it hurts.
"Claire!" Jeffery yelled coming over to me and I sighed.
Now he wants to bother me.
"Yes, Jeffery?" I asked turning around to look at the sixteen year old.
"We need that ball," he told me taking it from Nathan and walking away.
"You're welcome," I yelled. "Asshole," I muttered.
"Will you marry me?" Nick asked me and I snorted an amused smile playing on my lips.
"What?"
"You're the perfect girl."
"Are you on drugs?" Nick got on one knee and grabbed my hand.
"Marry me," he said and I sighed dramatically.
"If I have to," I said with a dramatic sigh and he stood up hugging me.
"Boys! I'm an engaged man!" he yelled out and I snorted crossing my arms.
"I said if I have to," I said. "And I don't have to," I added.
"Well, then I'll just have to tell everyone you're my wifey anyway," he said sticking his tongue out at me.
"You're a dork."
"I'm your dork."
"No, you're really not."
"Yes, I really am."
"Is he always so annoying?" I asked Tom and he shook his head.
"Nope."
"I hope 'big Caiden' likes that." I sneered and grabbed Nathan's arm. "Let's go we're leaving. "Another problem with being a natural flirt who just so happens to be blonde, you were assumed to be a slut or a whore."
"Wait! Can I at least get your number?" Nick asked me, and I turned around glaring at him and held out my hand for his phone. I entered my number and made my contact name just Claire. I also handed him my new iPhone 5C. When we switched phones back I frowned when I saw he made his contact, The Fiancé.
"You're not my fiancé. I mean you do realize I'm only eighteen," I said and he shrugged.
"Age is just a number. I'm only twenty about to be twenty-one. When's your birthday?" he asked me.
"October 6th," I responded and he nodded.
"Okay, so your birthday is only about a month away. I'll wait till you're nineteen to give you the ring so no one is freaking out," Nick said seriously and I rolled my eyes. "The wedding will be in December. Does that sound good?"
"I can't tell if he's actually joking or not," I said to Nathan, amused.
"See ya later, wifey!" Nick said his lips pressing against my left cheek before winking and walking back over to an angry Caiden.
"Well, I think that went great," Nathan said and I raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah, apparently I'm engaged now."
"I better be invited to the wedding," Nathan joked and I rolled my eyes but didn't respond and just got lost in my thoughts for a minute. For some reason to me it's just easier to get along with boys than girls. At least, until they wanted more. Mia has been my only friend that's a girl. It's almost impossible for me to be friends with other girls since most of them saw me as a threat. I wasn't sure why, but I had a feeling it's the way I attracted most of the stoners. I could deal with the girls who could only care about their next manicure or their next outfit. They weren't nearly as bad as the hateful ones. Okay I could rant for days about why I don't like girls these days but then I would probably come off as a complete bitch so it would be best if I didn't. Plus I'm speaking as if I'm not girl. Don't worry, I am trust me.
"Jeff, we're leaving," Nathan yelled and he nodded quickly saying goodbye to his friends.
"Isn't Sam coming?" I asked and Jeffery shook his head.
"No his mom is going to get him later," he told me and I secretly didn't a mini dance when he wasn't looking. Okay maybe not secretly since most of the basketball court - including Caiden's group - looked at me as I shook my butt and did some cha cha thing with my arms.
"You're such a weirdo. How are you my sister?" Jeffery said, running his hand over his face and I ruffled his hair.
"Ya know you l-o-v-e me," I said and One Directions song, I would popped in my head.
Would he say he's in L-O-V-E? Well if it was me, then I would, I would.
Good song, good song.
"Whatever," Jeffery grumbled hitting my hand away as we got in the car. He didn't have to tell me I already knew what his unspoken thoughts were, I'm a pretty damn cool sister. I slipped on a pair of my black shades and leaned back one hand on the wheel. Yeah, you can't get any cooler than this. Gosh, why am I like this? I swear I hate myself. I thought shaking my head at how weird I was.
