"Make sure your paper is in MLA format! I won't accept it if it's not," my father told the class. I simply rolled my eyes at this, he acted like we're in middle school.
"Do you have something you want to say, Jason?" he asked me with narrowed eyes.
"Nah," I said, waving him off and he only shook his head at me.
"If you have a problem with my class then the door is right there. Some of us are trying to learn," he said and I raised an eyebrow. All of this just because I rolled my eyes.
"You know what just stay after class we'll talk about this then." My eyes widened, first day back from break and I was already getting in trouble by my own father.
I glanced next to me at Nick who was already looking at me and he mouthed, "What are you going to do?" I simply shrugged.
"Jason for the last time stop disrupting my class. Next time I have to tell you you're out," he said sternly. Right as he was about to continue talking about the essay he got cut off by the sound of a knock and the door opening.
"Sorry to interrupt Mr. Martez," the dean said, his eyes skimming the room before landing on me and Nick.
They narrowed a bit before he continued, "I need to speak with Jason, Nicolaus and Kyle." The three of us shared a look before standing up.
"Jason come to class early next week. We'll talk then," my dad said while watching along with the class as we grabbed our stuff and followed after the dean.
"Hey Mr. Anderson," Nick said and the dean only glanced at him.
"Hello Nicolaus." He made a face at the use of his full name and Kyle snorted.
We all remained silent as we followed after him into his office. When we arrived I noticed Jax and Tom were there too.
"Have any of you had contact with Caiden recently?" the dean finally asked and I narrowed my eyes. This was what he called us down for. All the guys shook their heads and I simply shrugged.
"Jason I know you're his roommate so you must have had some contact with him," he said and everyone in the room looked at me.
"Caiden hates him," Tom said rolling his eyes. Oh how I wish that was completely true.
"If any of you hear from him I want you to tell him that his father would like to have a word with him," the dean said waving us off. I noticed his eyes were as cold as Caiden's which made me wonder. Why was it so important to find him? I mean I haven't seen him since that day he came over before my awful date. That was a week ago.
Oh right I should probably explain. My date with West went terrible due to that fact that the waiter tripped and all of our food went all over us. It was funny now but it obviously wasn't then. Now that I thought about it I hadn't talked to West since that day.
"Caiden has probably been skipping too many classes again," Tom said laughing.
"I don't think that's it. The dean wouldn't have requested all of us down there if that was the case," Kyle said, grabbing a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket.
"Man you really shouldn't be doing that stuff. It could kill you," I said, my voice still deep. Kyle snorted and all the guys burst out laughing.
"Why don't you leave the real men to hang out while you go spy on your daddy," Jax said and the laughter slowly came to a stop as they all looked at us with curiosity. I was glad we were already out of the building because at this point I didn't really know what would happen.
"Jax shut the hell up," Nick hissed and Tom raised an eyebrow.
"Man what are you talking about?" Tom asked and he shrugged.
"Don't look at me. Why don't you ask your good friend Jace?" If looks could kill Jax would have been six feet under.
"Jason!" Nathan yelled, waving. A huge smile crawled its way on my face at the sight of my best friend. I hadn't seen him or Mia in what felt like forever.
"Nathan, perfect timing!" I said and Nathan started to slow down as he gets near all of us obviously sensing the tension in the air.
"Hey Jace," Nathan said, putting his arm over my shoulder.
"Nathan I'm sure you know. Don't you think little Jason here should stop hiding his secret?"
"What secret?" Nathan asked, acting confused.
"Don't go playing dumb Nathan," Jax hissed.
"I don't know what the hell you're talking about," Nathan said, narrowing his eyes at Jax.
"I'm fine. Listen I'll see you later," he said grabbing a book off the ground. He rushed off and my eyebrows furrowed as I watched his figure leave. I've been so focused with myself I haven't taken time to try to help Eddie. I guess I really can be selfish.
I lay on my bed patiently waiting for Caiden while watching a rerun episode of The Walking Dead. I'd been waiting for him for hours now. I jumped up, surprised when I heard the door slam shut.
"Caiden we need to talk," I said, only to realize he brought company. He seemed to be too occupied with the brunette to respond and only pushed her body on his bed. Lovely. It was nice to see that the kiss we shared meant absolutely nothing to him.
"Caiden," I said louder not even taking time to try to hide my girl voice. I sighed, frustrated when he continued to ignore me. Standing up from my own bed, I walked over and tapped him on the shoulder.
He pulled back and looked at me while the girl continued to kiss his neck and attack the side of his face.
"What?" he snapped.
"I need to speak with Samantha," I told him and he pushed the brunette away from him and stood up.
"Why?" he asked me and I took a deep breath.
"I've overstayed my welcome here. It's time I find out if my dad's cheating and then leave. Too many people are finding out my secret. Nick, Kyle, Tom, Jax, all of them know," I said determined to speak with the blonde woman.
"Caiden." The girl moaned, standing up and wrapping her arms around his torso and he looked at her with disgust and pushed her off.
"Fine be that way! I have more respect for myself and I won't allow you to treat me like this," she said standing up and fixing her shirt before leaving the room, making sure to slam the door behind her.
"We'll go right now then," Caiden said and I nodded.
"Then I'll just change and we'll be on our way." I opened my suitcase and pulled out a girl's outfit which consisted of dark skinny jeans and a shirt. I pulled off my wig and brushed my blonde hair and pulled some of it back so I looked like I at least tried.
"I'm ready," I told him and he nodded grabbing his keys. I poked my head outside the door to make sure no one was in sight before quickly rushing toward the elevator. Caiden purposely took his time getting over here which made me scowl.
"You know we never talked about that kiss Caiden," I said looking at him when the elevator doors closed as we made our way down.
"What's there to talk about?" he asked, keeping his cold facade up.
