Just now, when Logan had kissed Lisa, she almost lost all her boundaries.

His eyes narrowed. "You don't believe me, huh? Fine, I'll show you."

With that, he hoisted her onto his shoulder and walked off.

The scene drew gasps from passersby, but someone quickly remarked, "What's the big deal? This is how they do it in those idol dramas nowadays—makes the guy look cool and tough."

Lisa already felt a headache coming on, and being slung over Logan's shoulder only made her world spin.

"I feel sick, Logan! Put me down!" she protested, pounding on his back. But his strides were long, and in just a few steps, he reached his car. He yanked open the door and shoved her inside—straight into the passenger seat.

"I'm not sitting here. This seat belongs to Joelle," she muttered, still playing coy despite the situation.

What she didn't notice was that the car was brand new, and no other woman had ever sat in it before.

Logan didn't bother explaining. He simply buckled her in with the seatbelt, then drove her straight to his place. The car pulled into the driveway, and he carried her inside, striding purposefully.

When he finally set her down, the lights were on, and soft music filled the air.

The atmosphere was undeniably warm and romantic.

Her first instinct was to leave, but Logan held her firmly. "You said there's someone here, right? Go ahead and look."

"No!"

Lisa pressed herself against the shoe cabinet, gripping the edge tightly. It felt like the only thing keeping Logan from overpowering her.

His hands were propped on either side of her, his body half-bent over her. "You don't want to look, yet you still doubt me. Since when did you become so good at accusing people, huh?"

He was so close that his scent filled her breath—crisp and clean, with a lingering hint of soap from his recent shower.

Lisa froze, then her face flushed red. "Logan, you're so damn low."

He sighed softly. "What else could I do when you refused to acknowledge your feelings for me?"

Her fingers fidgeted with the door frame. "I don't believe you. You must be lying."

"If you don't believe me, I can play you a recording." He took out his phone and played a recording of Joelle speaking in the car. In it, she clearly stated that she would no longer play along with his act.

Only then did Lisa believe it was true. He had been setting her up all along, and she had fallen right into his trap.

"Logan, you're way too cunning!" She raised her hand to hit him.

He caught her hand. "Liz, will you be with me now?"
