"It's him isn't it?" He asked, voice laced with venom and rose up a notch. "That boy you were with today at your car? It's him isn't it?"
I was completely baffled with the way he was acting, I didn't even know what to do. I stared at him with wide eyes, getting nervous and scared all over again.
"I should rip his throat out!" he growled, mainly to himself. My breath caught in my throat and I froze, looking at him with so much fear I scared myself.
"No," I whispered, my voice barely audible.
"You are not allowed to hang out and have sleepovers with boys. You have me now." His voice was laced with poison. His eyes flashed the bright red and I cowered back. As soon as he saw my retreat, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath trying to calm himself down.
"You cannot harm one hair on any of my friend's heads." I lowly spoke to him, a defensive nature making its way through my brain. "Just because their boys, doesn't make them a danger!" I scowled at him.
"I'm sorry, but I've known you for what? 20 minutes today and 10 minutes tops last week; 7 of which I was running away from you." I continued. "You have no say in my life, who I hang out with, whose house I sleep at. So in the politest way possible, leave me alone. If I am this so called mate you say I am, than you should care that you freak me out and make me feel unsafe. So just leave me alone and go find another poor girl to torture." I snapped.
I tried to let the growling in his throat not affect my speech, and successfully did so.
He slowly started walking towards me, pinning me with his eyes making me frozen to the spot. I could literally feel the colour drain from my face and my heart beat increase; all within the time zone of mere seconds.
"You're scared because you don't know what's going on. I understand that you're frightened and confused, but you do not disrespect me like that. Males are the dominate person in the relationship, my wolf won't accept you trying to control me." He growled.
"So, y-you can c-control me, but I-I can't t-tell you to leave me a-al-alone." I stuttered backing up even further in fear.
"Yes. I do everything I do to protect you." He stated, his eyes now glowing red and not changing back to their original colour.
"Y-your eyes." I whisper stuttered pointing to them in shock.
"You are mine. My mate." He growled completely ignoring my statement about his eyes. "I don't have you mixed up, I don't intentionally scare you but you need to learn. Your mine, and there's nothing you can do about it." As he took another step towards me, I sprinted for my car. My breathing was heavy and for once I had a plan.
Smoothly, I jumped into the car and sped out of the parking lot. Looking in my rear view mirror, I saw Michael running after me and thankfully he was still looking like a human.
I drove about 5km over the speed limit which doesn't sound like much but made my 10 minute drive a 5 minute drive. It was worth it and gave me more distance between the two of us than following the actual speed limit.
Talking heaps of turns and corners, driving around in circles, squares and triangles and running a yellow light, I arrived at the car wash.
I remembered back to when he said he could find me by my scent, so I thought if I washed my car my scent would disappear, or at least change and stop him from finding me. To my luck there was a car in front of me and about 3 behind me by the time I pulled in. Quickly driving through the wash, I paid then sped off back home.
Flinging the door open, I was instantly greeted with the smell of my freshly cooked pizza that Tanner said he would pick up for me.
"Honey, I'm hoomeeee!" I sing songed out to Tanner, joking about our relationship as we normally do for these sleepovers. Although I was sticking with the jokes I usually made, I thought if I pretended nothing happened today it would just disappear.
"Hello my darling," Tanner greeted over dramatically, bringing me into a tight hug and squeezing me into his chest. Instantly copying his actions, I wrapped my arms around his torso and hugged him back happy that his hugs bought peace to my mind.
Keeping my arms around him for a slight bit longer than usual I still felt reluctant to let go. Tanner saw my hesitant actions and loosened his hold on me but didn't let go. He pushed me slightly away from his body and looked down at me with a raised eyebrow.
"Everything Okay Alana?" He asked. His eyes were boring into mine before quickly skimming over to me check to see if I had managed to hurt myself.
I heard him thumping around the kitchen attempting to my green cup that was bought for me and me only. If I caught anybody using my cup, I will be forced to end their life.
I don't know what it is about the cup. It was just a big, plastic, plain, lightish/medium green colour and I was obsessed with it. I could hear the tap running in the kitchen and I could hear the freezer opening to get the ice for me.
"Fuck!" I heard him curse.
Not even 5 seconds later, he was walking back into the lounge room shirtless with my green cup of water with ice.
"Thankyouuuuuuu." I grinned up at him and expectantly held out my hands for Tanner to place the cup in.
Deciding I should boost his ego, I glanced down at his toned torso and mentally praised Tanner for his exceptional body.
When I met his eyes again, he rolled his eyes with a faint smirk and I grinned at him.
"What did you do?" I asked him accusingly.
"I dropped the glass of water on my shirt. That's my most comfortable shirt and now I have to wait for it to dry." He grumbled.
I laughed then took a huge gulp of water and almost spat it out. "My teeth!" I exclaimed. "How cold did you want to make it? My teeth are extremely sensitive!" I scolded him playfully.
"Suck it up princess, that's what waters like with ice in it." He smirked. "Now let's put on the movie."
