"Alana. Fuck, look at you! Your hurt. You should have never left me at the cells, I'm so sorry this is all my fault. I should have protected you, made sure none of this happened." He cooed at me, his hands running over my cheeks as he stared deeply into my eyes.

I couldn't say anything as I just stared right back into his now dark brown eyes that always held my attention, pulling me into the beautiful orbs.

"I love you Michael." I said, finally to his face.

"I love you Alana, so so much." He whispered back and pressed his lips to mine in a soft sweet kiss that sent my heart racing for the upteenth time today, but the is the first time it's happened for angood reason.

Breaking away from the sweet kiss that left me slightly breathless, Michael rested his forehead on mine, stating into my eyes with what looked like awe.

A movement made me snap my gaze from Michael as I saw Richard still lying on the ground, clutching his arm from and awkwards fall, a grim look on his face.

"You won't shoot me." Richard said with a smug smile. "You may as well put the gun down now and save yourself the embarrassment."

Michael growled and rose us both to our feet, standing protectively infront of me as I lent against his back for support.

"Hunter, shut the fuck up or else your death will be so horrible, you'll be begging me to kill you." Michele snarled at him.

"You all act as though your tough, but your mate is weak. She wouldn't shoot me even if it-" he was cut off by his own voice yelling out in pain, his screams and the gunshot filling the area and echoing off the trees.

He clutched his leg in pain, as he stared at me with wide eyes. "You son of a bitch, you shot me." He yelled.

I just stared wide eyes at him, his cargo shorts quickly turning a bright red.

"If you shoot someone it doesn't mean you have to kill them." I stated, slightly proud of myself for pulling the trigger to cause him a fraction of the pain he made me feel.

I took my hand off Michael's back when I heard a snap come from him. I watched as he quickly shifted into his wolf form as terror took over in Richards eyes. He knew his death is inevitable now.

"Theres no point in killing me," he pleaded. "You think you kill me and its all over, your wrong." With each word his voice got even more evil, spitting the words at us.

In a flash he was gone inside and not even five seconds later he was by my said again with his phone pressed against his ear.

Small patterns and shapes were being drawn into my lower arm as my head rested on his muscular thigh. I felt content. In pain but content.

"Reece." Michael said suddenly, voice passive. "Richard was here and attacked Alana. She's injured and I need a pack doctor right away."

He was silent for a few moments but his eyes were locked on mine as he listened to what Reece said. Even with my normal hearing, I could hear Reece fuming on the other end of the line demanding to know how he got out and what the fuck happened.

"Reece. She's loosing a lot of blood. Just send a fucking doctor." He spat then hung up, turning all his attention to me.

"Stay with me Alana." He cooed, embracing me whilst trying to cause the least amount of discomfort he could.

And thats how we waited for the pack doctor who took just under 10 minutes to get there. With me in the arms of my mate whispering sweet nothing's into my ear and proclaiming how much he loves me.
