Instantly, my eyes met his deep brown ones. He looked down on me and purposely made his height even more intimidating. My breath caught in my throat as I stared at him. He didn't blink once, something that was just plain creepy. "Mine," he growled reaching out to what I assume was grab my waist and pull me into him.
"The rule!" I quickly squeaked, jumping out of his reach. Instantly, hurt flashed on his face, like he was just stabbed. But just as quickly as it was there, it disappeared and his eyes went back to the solid deep brown colour.
"I'm going to make a rule." He stated. I wanted to protest, saying that he had no right because he wasn't the one who was crapping themselves around the other person, but I couldn't find my voice. His eyes that were pinning me to my spot made my heart beat race and I stayed silent.
"You have to give me a chance." Is all he said. I continued staring at him, breathing heavily not daring to say a word. "That means no running away from me, no hiding your scent." He demanded. I just silently stared at him. It felt like my mind wasn't even capable of thinking.
"Lani?" Lenny's voice snapped me out of my daze.
"Huh? Yeah?" I stuttered.
"I said is this guy bothering you?" Lenny's eyes bored into mine and I shook my head to clear my thoughts.
"What?" I asked again.
"Do you want him to leave the store?" he asked me again, worry laced on his face. As I didn't answer, Lenny became more paranoid and worried, and Michael became angrier with Lenny being here.
"Alana," Michael growled in warning tone and I looked up at him. Our eyes locked, and I broke the gaze as I nodded my head.
"Please make him leave." I whispered. Lenny didn't need any more persuading as he made his height even taller than his usual height. He was still shorter then Michael but that didn't seem to faze him at all.
"You can leave now and make it easy, or you can get thrown out and banned from setting foot in this shop again. It's your choice, but either way you're leaving and most certainly not bugging Alana again." Lenny spoke with authority, leaving no room for argument.
A growl erupted from the back of Michael's throat in a threatening way but Lenny didn't think of it like that. "And you sound like you smoke a pack a day. While quitting seeing Alana, you should think of quitting the smokes as well. Your breathing sounds horrible and that's what's probably making you some angry dude."
Michael looked down at Lenny, then looked down at me. After seeing the fright evident on my face, he closed his eyes and sighed.
"Remember what I said Alana. Follow it, or I don't follow your rules." And with that, he death stared Lenny one last time and stormed out of the shop, knocking down the pile of about 50 shirts that I had just folded on the way.
In the middle of the room there was a long greyish table surrounded with seats. There was a tall and wide clear vase in the middle of the table, but not filled with flowers. Instead, Sally decided to fill half of it up with sand to make a "beach." Little Lego people were resting on the sand with little "towels" which were just bits of material. There was sand castles and everything. Sally had out a tonne of work into it, and the result looked phenomenal. This whole table was mainly to decoration these days. Nobody ever used the table, because everybody always opted for the comfier option; the couches.
Down the far corner on the room was a huge L shaped couch facing a small TV. The couch was a dark brown leather and slightly old, making it perfectly worn in and one of the best couches known to mankind.
Lenny walked me over to the couch even though I was fully capable to do so myself, then quickly jogged back to the sink to get me a glass of water. Just as Lenny was on his way back to me, Jacob walked in the room ending a call on his phone.
"Blake is at work right now, so Tanner said his on his way over. He'll promised that he will be here in 10 minutes." Jacob told me.
"Guys. I'm okay, really it's not that big of a deal." I reasoned with them. As I moved the glass up to my mouth to take a drink, I noticed my hands still slightly shaking. Quickly, I put them down but not quick enough.
"Your hands are shaking." Jacob observed. I nodded my head like it was obvious and caused both of the boys to sigh. For the next 5 minutes, I just sat staring at my glass of water and Jacob and Lenny kept exchanging worried glances between the two of them.
5 minutes after that as promised, Tanner burst through the door, looking worried and concerned, but most of all; angry.
