"What the fuck did I just tell you not to do Alana?" Lenny exclaimed.
"In my defense," I stated, "You said don't hammer your fingers. You didn't warn me about my hand." I said and rubbed the back of my hand.
"For fucks sake." Lenny muttered. "Go sit down. You'll only hurt yourself again. How the hell do you hit your hand?" he asked confused.
"There was a fly that landed on me and I might of lost aim when I went so swat it away." I sheepishly admitted. "No big deal." With a shake of his head from Lenny, I was sent to sit in the corner to read instructions to him.
With a flick of the light switch, Lenny and I exchanged high fives. "Done for the week!" Lenny celebrated as he handed me the keys after we locked up.
"Thank God." I groaned. As we exchanged our good byes and headed our separate ways, I felt someone staring at me as soon as Lenny was out of sight.
Quickly checking over my shoulder I was greeted with an empty parking lot. I turned back around stifled a scream. My eyes met his deep brown eyes which were filled with amusement.
"Almost getting me banned from your work is a cruel thing to do." He said lowly. "How else am I supposed to make sure you okay?" he asked me, concern filling his eyes.
"Get away from me." I hissed talking a step backwards. "Go away, now."
"Alana, sweetheart. When will you get the message that it won't happen. You are mine. There's no getting away from me." He growled slowly advancing towards me.
"N-no I'm n-not." I stuttered closing my eyes shut tightly. His hot breath was felt on my face, and as soon as I opened my eyes, he was pinning me with his gaze.
"Don't test me Mate." He growled. "I only have so much patience to tolerate with this whole "being frightened act." It's been long enough for you to be used to it." He spoke.
"Y-your scaring m-me." I whispered backing up even further. Instantly his eyes softened.
"I don't want you scared of me, but you need to learn." He quietly explained. I didn't say anything and looked down at the ground.
"How did you know where I worked?" I quietly asked.
"I saw you walking by the window." He answered. "I'm not a stalker." Michael gazed down at me when he said the last part.
"Says the guy who tracked me down by smelling where I was." I snapped in disgust, but instantly apologized for my harsh tone when he started growling.
"My Mate." He sighed, reaching up to brush a loose chuck of hair that had fallen out of my pony tail after a long day's work.
"Rule!" I squeaked, causing him to stop his hand midair and sighed.
"We need to talk about all this." He stated leaving no room for arguing. I stiffly nodded my head knowing there was no getting out of this discussion.
"I'm 26." He stated seriously. "And 23 is an exception for you." He teased?
Michael looked at me waiting for me to keep talking, like he expected I'd share everything with him and tell him my life story. When he realised that I wasn't going to say anything he cleared his throat going back to being serious. His facial expression tensed up. He already knew I was not going to make this "talk" easy for him.
"As happy as I was seeing you today at work, I never want to have a repeat of that." He stated seriously, getting straight down to the point. "You will not disrespect me in this relationship. I, as a human, may understand the concept of talking back but my wolf however does not."
I visibly tensed up and scooted away from him at the mention of his "wolf', wanting to put more distance between the two of us. I had no clue how to respond to what he just said, but it seemed as if he would not continue until I said something. He sat there, staring intently at me but frowning at the distance I put between the two of us.
"Well, I too have to be respected," I started but trailed off. "Wait no. That sounds like I'm agreeing with you." I muttered to myself.
"I too have to be respected," I repeated more loudly and sounding more confident this time. "I would like my decisions to be respected and for you to be able to see my reason to them." I told him. My voice faulted at some points, but my act of confidence seemed to have worked.
My insides were going wild. My heart beat was faster than usual and my palms were starting to get sweaty.
Michael nodded his head, seeing that I had a fair point.
"With one of my decisions," I continued. "I really need you to look at this from my point of veiw." I stated. He nodded his head before I spoke again. As I spoke, I held my breath, not sure what to anticipate as his answer.
"I have decided, that I want nothing to do with you."
