"Because!" I cried out. "You frighten me! Okay? I said it! Maybe if you were normal I wouldn't have a problem with you going to bash innocent people up, but you're not normal! I don't know what your capable of!" I exclaimed.

"His not innocent. One kiss and you would feel the mating pull. He ruined it all." He spat. "And you don't need to be frightened of me." He said exasperated.

"I was caught in the moment okay? A moment that shouldn't exist." I stated quietly. I could hear Michael breathing heavily and unevenly and I took it as a sign that arguing wasn't the best idea but I needed to get it off my mind and out into the open.

I lowered and softened my voice so he wouldn't think I'm purposely trying to pick an argument I spoke. "I don't know what you're capable of." I practically whispered. "And that scares me to no end." I sighed and ran my hands through my hair, tugging slightly on it; something do when I'm nervous. As soon as Michael saw me quieten down, he did the same.

"Don't be scared." Is all he said looking at me, but I refused to look at him. I slumped back down against that wall and closed my eyes. This continued for a small amount of time.

"So where were we?" Michael said breaking the silence, hopefulness in his voice. I sighed and shook my head.

"I need to get going." I said and got to my feet. Michael was quick to follow suit, springing to his feet.

"But," he started protesting but I cut him off.

"I'm going now." Michael's shoulders slumped slightly in sign of defeat as we walked silently back to my car. Our parting was silent. It consisted of me telling him not to follow me and a "bye" from me.

As I pulled out of the car park, I glanced in my rear view mirror and almost stopped. He looked so sad watching me drive off and away from him, but my emotion confused me as well.

I felt sad leaving him.

7:00 on the dot as the sound of someone knocking on my door sounded. As soon as I came home I fell down on the couch and had a lay down which turned into a very long nap. I had woken up about 2 minutes before the visitor knocked and I had just been laying on the couch with one leg hanging off and my eyes closed.

I knew the person at the door was Tanner, and as promised he showed up. I didn't even bother getting off the couch because knowing him he would just barge in anyways.

"Lani!!!" a loud voice exclaimed happily.

"Tan!" I exclaimed back, my voice muffled by the pillow and lacking enthusiasm. Groaning, I pushed myself up into a sitting position on the couch and waited for Tanner to pop his head through the door, hopefully bringing the gift of food.

And he did not disappoint.

Looking down at his hand, he was carrying a grey plastic bag from the supermarket and popping out from the top was a tube of pringles.

"But!" he protested.

"No! I tired and I'm watching Hawaii five-0 then going to bed. We both know how much you hate that show." I laughed at him.

Tanner hated Hawaii Five-0 with a passion. I think his just jealous of Steve to be honest.

"Fine." He grumbled. "See you later." He gave me a one handed hug and left, parting with one of his stupid jokes.

"Lani! Why could the flower not ride his bike?" he questioned.

"Not sure Tanner, why?

"Because he lost his petals." He said while cracking up laughing. "Get it? Petals sounds like pedals! Great pun." He managed to get out in his fits of laughter.

I swatted him over the head before telling him to get lost and I'd see him later.
