"Alright," Blake said really loudly while clapping his hands together startling both Tanner and I. "Lani, you have half an hour before you have to leave for work. Friday, last day of making money for the week!" He chanted, going into the organized brother mode. "Chop chop, we don't have all day."

Blake and Tanner filed into the kitchen to make breakfast for all of us and I made my way to my room. I opened the door and just stared at everything lying everywhere. Just as messy as it was before, I groaned in my head. I set off on the task of finding clothes clean enough and suitable for work, then made my way to the bathroom to have a shower and freshen up.

By the time I was ready, I had 10 minutes to spare.

"Hello beautiful." The low, husky voice spoke into my ear as strong arms circled around my waist. My body tensed upon feeling the sudden contact, but relaxed the slightest bit when I realised who it was.

I had just finished work and it was time to meet up at my car for a few minutes, before I went to the beach to go for a much needed surf. The swell was pumping and calling for me, and I was going to enjoy Mother Nature's creations, doing so with Blake and Tanner. The cool water is exactly what my aching muscles needed after moving the new load of stock that work had gotten in that morning.

"Hi Michael," I replied whilst trying to wriggle out of his hold.

His chin was resting on my shoulder close to my neck, and he took a slightly bigger breath in through his nose, his body relaxing.

Is he smelling me again? I thought to myself. Creeper.

Reluctantly, Michael detached his arms from around my waist and let me take a step away from him. As soon as I was out of his hold, I turned around leaning on my car to face him, but I was met with a scowl spread across his attractive features.

"What's wrong?" I questioned him with a raised eyebrow. In the past week of him meeting me after work, he had always been nothing but happy to show me that he is not always temperamental and moody.

"Why do you smell like another male?" he asked trying to sound calm, but I could hear to light growl with his words.

"Here we go," I muttered rolling my eyes and crossing my arms over my chest. I prepared myself for his whole overprotective speech and accusations that would be thrown my way, and how I was "his". A louder more distinctive growl erupted in the back of his throat at my action.

"Is it that guy from your work?" he asked with a clenched jaw. "If it is, I swear to the Moon Goddess that I will rip his throat out."

"That male, is more than likely my brother, thank you very much." I hissed. "And don't you dare ever threaten to hurt my friends."

"Your brother?"

"Yeah. You know the male you're related to because your parents also gave birth to another child. The person who you live with until you move out of home?" I questioned, daring him to get angry.

"You still live with your parents?" he asked, completely confused and trying to understand what I was talking about. His dark brown eyes were boring into mine, and his eyebrows were furried together in a cute way. His head was cocked to one side in question as he awaited my answer.

"No. But my brother and I brother share a house together. Or at least, we do for a week every month." I muttered the last part that wasn't intended to be heard by anyone but me. Michael obviously heard me mutter because of his stupid enhanced hearing, and I answered the silent question when his confused facial expression didn't let up.

I let out a small sigh. "He works in construction and in the mines. Their called lock downs. He travels to another state in Australia to a location where he works to fix things or construct buildings for two or three weeks, then comes home for one week's break, before being flown back off again." I explained with a grim expression.

"Alana, I'd like to talk for you a minute." Blake said, his eyes never leaving Michael. "Alone."

I gulped and stood to follow him, but Michael lightly grabbed my wrist and prevented me from walking any further away from him. He gave me the look, which I shot straight down. "His my brother. I'll only be a second." I smiled reassuringly and followed Blake, leaving Michael and Tanner alone.

I just really hope that Tanner didn't try to make small talk or try and be funny. I've learnt that Michael isn't one for small talk, and I have a feeling that if Tanner tries to be funny, he will just irritate and aggravate Michael. It wouldn't end well.

"I don't like him." Blake got straight to the point when we were a fare distance away.

"You haven't said a word to him yet." I pointed out, which Blake glared at me for.

"Look at the guy. He looks all serious. His practically got the word "Serial killer" written across his forehead. I take back the permission of letting you go away." He stated, while I scoffed.

"Don't you dare go playing Mr Overprotective," I hissed at him which got Michaels attention. His head snapped around to meet my gaze and he scanned the area surrounding me to make sure I was okay. I gave him a reassuring nod before giving my attention back on Blake. "You don't know what his like. His actually all right," I said with a small smile playing on my lips.

Blake stared intently at me, looking for any signs that I was lying. "Fine," he huffed and I threw and arm over his shoulder and grinned happily at him, and lead him back over to where Tanner and Michael were waiting for us.

"But this doesn't mean I like it." he huffed.
