"Well, did you do it?"
"Hm"
"Good. You know the plan"
"Hm"
"Speak something Vincent or we will not leave your Ashley capable of speaking anything"
"I do. I know the plan"
"That's good. We'll catch you later"
The call ended. I don't know how long can this all go on like this.
Heather
I was with Chris and he was regaining his consciousness. Doctors said that he will be fine, but he just needs to rest for a few weeks, for his hands.
I waited for him to be completely awake. He opened his eyes and looked at me. He smiled and I smiled back.
"How are you?" I asked. He smiled more.
"Completely fine"
"That is good"
"Hm. And you, baby?"
"Great"
"That's even good"
I smiled more. He then looked around. "What time is it?"
"It is night. Midnight?"
"Oh, then why aren't you asleep?"
"Well, because you are awake?"
"You should have slept. I would have met you tomorrow morning"
"What nonsense are you saying?"
He sighed. "You are so good"
"You are better"
"I am not"
"You will realize it"
He sighed and smiled. I don't know why he does it. He always appreciates me for things that are so basic. I mean, wouldn't a girlfriend wait for his boyfriend if he is waking up after some medical condition? But he makes me feel like I do so much extra for him that no one does. I mean, that just makes me crazy.
"So" he looked at me. "How was your day?"
"Oh leave mine, yours will be ruined if you don't tell me why you did this"
He sighed. "Oh calm down"
"It is okay, tell me later"
He nodded. "I know you would understand me"
"Hm"
He tried to sit up. "Oh you should rest"
"I have been resting for a long time"
I nodded and he sat up. "I missed you"
"I did too"
"Sit here" he patted in front of him. sat there. He raised his fine hand and traced my face. "You are so beautiful, did I ever tell you that?"
"Yeah, every day"
"Then fine"
He just looked into my eyes. You can tell just by the way he looks at me, that he really does love me. And a lot.
"Where is Ashley?"
"Why?"
"Tell me"
"Most probably with Vincent. Why? You want her back?"
"Yes"
"Oh well, good luck"
"Actually, no. I was just checking if this was a prank"
I laughed. "You are so childish"
He nodded and left my hand. "Trust me, I know"
I went out of the ward and then to the hospital.

Ashley
I woke up after a long sleep. The sleep was the best in recent times. It was not like I didn't enjoy sleeping next to him, but this time, the sleep was without any worries and somehow better than the ones I had with him.
I got up and did my chores. I combed my hair and smiled at myself in the mirror. I know it is hard right now, but it will be fine later. I know I feel sad right now, but I did something that would make me and keep me happy for life. I should be glad.
I went downstairs and then to the kitchen. I just remember everything but I still will stay here. I can't change houses, countries just because of some bad memories. I should just learn to live with it and I know I am scared for now, but I will learn to live with this too.
Suddenly my phone rang and I picked it up. It was some unknown number.
"hello--"
"I am coming, you need to sign the divorce papers"
Ashley
As I realised it was Vincent, my heartbeat stopped for a moment.
