Noelle was a little enraged when she heard what they had said. Back when she was kicked out of the Liddell family, Cedric stayed by her side until she pulled herself back on her feet.

Emma, while opposing Noelle being together with Cedric, had still treated Noelle well. Noelle knew that Emma had treated her kindly out of guilt of the car accident from many years ago.

Noelle replied coldly, her voice turning sharper. "You wouldn't hurt me, you say? After everything you've done to me, you still have the nerve to say that right in my face?"

Carl's eyes flickered for a moment. "Let's eat first. I'll make arrangements for Mrs. Greene later."

Noelle had no choice but to just suppress her anger as she could not just leave the house. Emma's treatment still depended on Carl after all, but being subtly threatened like so did not feel any good either.

But even so, Noelle still gave in to the Liddells. She could still endure so much for the sake of curing Emma's illness.

Carl's expression improved a lot after Noelle agreed to stay. "Let's eat. Don't worry about anything, alright? I'll handle everything for you."

Noelle just remained silent.

Donovan chimed in from the side. "Noelle, do you see how much Carl cares about you? Do you know how many people are trying to get a hold of him?

"He's ignored each and every one of them in order to help you. You're the one and only exception."

Carl cut him off. "That's enough, Donovan. It's only right that we care about her. Noelle's my sister, after all. We're family. I'll do anything for her as long as she asks me to."

Noelle could tell that Carl was hinting at her about something, but she was no longer the naive and helpless little girl who would just let others push her around.

After sitting down for dinner, Noelle did not say much and just focused on eating her meal. Just then, Wyatt showed up to the table, even though he did not look very pleased.

When he saw Noelle, he froze on the spot, and his expression became twisted with a mix of emotions.

He touched his prosthetic leg and said, "Noelle, I heard about what happened to your company. I know better than anyone that your designs are excellent. I can speak up on your behalf and help clear your name."

Noelle noticed that Wyatt was still using the old prosthetic design. She frowned and replied, "There's an issue with the material in that old model. You can schedule a refund or exchange for the new model at the company."

"It hardly matters. My body's already ruined. It couldn't get any worse anyway. The only time I can feel like a normal person again is when I'm using this prosthetic you designed to stand and walk again."

Wyatt was evidently in a slump, as his entire demeanor as a person carried nothing but depression and despair.
