Noelle no longer bothered with Eason and left with Cedric to visit Mia's ICU unit. Eugene was the only one standing guard outside.

Noelle walked over and glanced worriedly into the ICU. She finally let out a sigh of relief when she saw that Mia was lying peacefully within.

She then looked at Eugene and asked, "What happened exactly?"

Eugene looked up and replied, "Mia sent me away on purpose. She hasn't woken up since, so I don't know what she was thinking."

"She sent you away on purpose?"

Noelle was confused. She could only wonder why Mia would do such a thing.

Eugene looked at Mia lying on the bed and replied, "I don't know why either."

Noelle then fell silent. She figured that there had to be a reason for Mia to do so. Perhaps Mia had done so after sensing that something was wrong. Regardless, Noelle still felt a vague uneasiness welling up in her heart.

She looked at Eugene and asked, "Did you tell Mia about Mrs. Ivy's true identity?"

"No, I didn't want her to worry."

Noelle thought for a moment and said, "I think you can tell Mia about it so that she doesn't let her imagination run wild. Perhaps she's discovered some clues, too."

Eugene pursed his lips and remained silent for a while. Cedric then looked at Eugene and said, "Mia isn't as helpless as you think she is. She's doing much better now than before. You should trust her."

Eugene thought about Cedric's words and lowered his head in silent agreement.

After some time, Mia finally woke up.

Noelle put on a hospital scrub suit before heading inside the ICU. She looked at Mia and asked, "How are you feeling now?"

Mia's face still carried hints of exhaustion. "Much better."

Eugene could not help but ask, "Just now, why did you—"
