Noelle was shocked when she saw Mia's message. She, too, could only wonder why Eason was so determined to stay here.

She reckoned that Eason himself would have some idea of what Ivy was planning and would also know that being abroad was the safest option for himself. But for whatever reason, Eason did not want to leave.

Noelle wondered just what exactly Eason was planning to do. She wondered if it was all just an act orchestrated by Ivy to deliberately test Mia. Regardless, it was something they could not afford to ignore.

Noelle replied, "You're right to be worried. What if this is a trap? In any case, just play along and see what Ivy decides to do next."

She then put down her phone and looked up at the sky.

Spring had arrived not long after the New Year was over.

Once everything was over, it would also be the time for the flowers to be in full bloom.

Cedric held Noelle in his arms and said, "Eugnee will keep an eye on Eason as well. He won't let the boy do anything weird."

"If Eason really stays in the country, Ivy would have essentially given us a weak point to latch onto."

"Considering how ruthless she is as a person, there's no guarantee that she won't just abandon everything, even her son, just to save herself."

Noelle chuckled. "Ivy does treat her only son well. Regardless, we won't be letting her off easy."

Cedric replied, "Ivy will suffer for what she has done, no matter what she decides to do now. After all the pain that she's caused you over the years, it's about time she got a taste of her own medicine."

He desperately wanted to bring an end to all of this quickly, as he did not want Noelle to keep on living a life centered around getting revenge.

The two of them soon fell asleep in each other's arms. But on that same night, there were quite a few people who could not sleep.

Ivy spent the entire night searching for Xenia, but she never managed to find even a trace of her. She was thoroughly exhausted both mentally and physically as she snapped at Owen.

"You can't even find a single woman? What's the point of keeping you around then?"

Owen explained, "Boss, we have to be cautious since we can't risk exposing our identities. Noelle's already biased against you.

"If she finds out about what you're doing now, she could trace it back to the psychiatric hospital. It would become a huge problem for you."
